Graccus

Graccus is a defected Imperial commander of the Legion of the West Weald found inside The Vile Manse. He was ordered by Javad Tharn to destabilize the Aldmeri Dominion, but instead used his resources to destroy a Bosmer village and built a large mansion on top of it, so that he could excavate the Ayleid ruin found below.

Within the ruins, Graccus found the Book of the Frozen Legion, which he used to perform necromantic rituals on the many Bosmer civilians he enslaved and summon Daedra. With his Imperial troops and undead slaves, Graccus continued to excavate the ruins to find the Oghma Infinium under guidance from Hermaeus Mora, so that he could use the tome to attack the Dominion. However, Javad withdrew his supplies to Graccus as he believed him to be incompetent, and Hermaeus Mora deemed him unworthy to keep the Infinium.

Skills and Abilities

Ice Arrow

A basic ranged attack that does minor frost damage.

Ice Barrier

The enemy summons an Ice Barrier that absorbs projectiles fired at it until destroyed. The caster cannot be pulled if the wall stands between them and the enemy. The player should move so that there is a clear line of sight between themselves and the enemy.

Winter's Reach

The enemy unleashes an icy whirlwind in the direction it is facing. This whirlwind does moderate frost damage and roots all players that it hits. The root effect passes through block, but it can be escaped by roll dodging.

Quest-Related Events

During your battle with Graccus, he will shout at you when combat starts:

Graccus: "No! I've waited for so long! You won't stop me!"

While Hermaeus Mora torments the both of you, he will try to break free and either say:

Graccus: "I won't be defeated! I've come too far!"

Graccus: "All the secrets of Apocrypha shall be mine!"

Graccus: "I am Mora's champion. I'll destroy any challenger!"

Graccus: "None will stand in my way!"
