The Temple District in the final release

Shrines to Molag Bal have been set up in the Temple District. Valerianus Lentinus has asked me to destroy some of them using a relic he salvaged from the temple.

The Worm Cult has set up shrines to Molag Bal in the Temple District. Valerianus Lentinus has asked me to destroy some of them.

Quick Walkthrough

1. Use the Eye of Akatosh to deface shrines to Molag Bal in the Temple District.
2. Talk to Valerianus Lentinus.

Detailed Walkthrough

If you try to speak to the civilians and priests around you, they'll direct you to Valerianus Lentinus instead.

"Well then, what are you waiting for? Go on. I'd offer you a blessing, but at this point, I don't think the gods even care.
If you really want a blessing, ask Valerianus over there. His faith certainly isn't wavering."

"If you want to speak with someone who still has hope, talk to Valerianus. My heart holds only despair."

While everyone else is depressed or cynical, Valerianus is filled with righteous fury.

"I propose we give Molag Bal a taste of the same gruel he fed to us. The Daedra defiled our temple and built shrines to the lord of schemes all over the district.
Let us be the ones to do the defiling now."

You want to defile the shrines to Molag Bal?

"Why stop at defiling? These shrines are blasphemous. I say destroy them.
Clearly, I cannot undertake this mission, but I can give you a relic from the temple—the Eye of Akatosh. Use it on the shrines to call down the god's righteous power."

Notes

• This quest was added to the text file for Update 6. Its quest ID, 5224, and its place between several other quests, were inhabited by a quest called "The Face of Evil" in the text file for Update 5.

†This version of the quest's description was present in the text files for Update 5, and was changed along with the quest's name in Update 6.

• The description for the Eye of Akatosh read: This fiery gem is a relic holy to Akatosh. It's warm to the touch.
