"Was that woman a half-giant? Like Lyris, the axe-warrior of the east? Does she have anything to do with those strange sticks we found outside of town?"

Strange sticks?

"A patrol found a strange stick outside of town. It was covered in runes and a smelly paste. The jarl ordered us to destroy it and any others we could find.
Another patrol ran into Reachmen at the barrow, but that was all we heard from them."

Do you think the Reachmen and these strange sticks are conencted?

"Come to think of it, the runes could have been Reach. Those witch people use stuff like that all the time. I'm just worried about the swordthane and the other soldiers at the barrow.
Nothing good ever comes of Reach magic."

Speaking to him after being ordered to investigate the barrow:

"I wish the jarl would give us the order and send us to the barrow! Who knows what our soldiers are facing down there?"

After returning form Morthal Barrow:

"Creatures of ice and snow, bah! Give me something of substance to hit, like a giant or a Reach barbarian!"
