Callan is a Reachman exile who can be found in Ghostlight Grotto, having been captured by Falmer. He is offered to join Wayward Guardians after the rescue.

Quest-Related Events

Ardanir will send you down into Arkthzand Cavern to rescue people from the Falmer at Ghostlight Grotto. Callan can be found cowering in their camp.

"It cannot be! I prayed for salvation from this place, but I never expected it to happen."

Run. Get out of here while you can. Head for the Great Lift.

"Thank you, stranger. I long to see the sky again."

Once you return to Markarth, Callan can be found near Ardanir.

Before you turn in the quest, he will say:

"I though the gods had cursed me to that fate. As if exile from my clan was not enough.
But then you came. I see it now. I have been given a second chance."

After turning in the quest:

"Ardanir has offered us a place among … what did he call them? The Wayward Guardians.
