Am-Lai

Am-Lai is an Argonian who can occasionally be found in front of The Dominus Fatum. She is annoyed by all the people who have come to look at the ship, and is acting as Strillian Callidus' tour guide.

Dialogue[edit]

When you speak to her, she'll greet you with one of two lines. Am-Lai is also distinctly uninterested in how the ship ended up in the tree in the first place:

"Tell me, is it a dryskin custom to come gawk at this wreck? It is a lump of rotting wood. Not even good for burning anymore, yet ojel always ask to come. I will take their coin and put it to better use."
"Do nothing that might cause the foolish dryskin to fall. I must return him safely if I am to be paid and I have had to retrieve him from that sagging wreck three times already."
Why is there a boat in a tree?
"A better question would be why anyone would care. It is the rotten husk of a dead tree, the fact its shape is different does not make it any less useless."
You're not at all curious how it got there?
"Perhaps it was shaped by the dreams of the Hist and fell from the sky, or perhaps this tree simply desired a headdress. Does knowing either change that it is now a tangle of soggy sticks?
If you want to play guessing games, speak to the dryskin."
