"Alright, friends! I've cooked up something special for you all!"
Brengolin, the cook in Slag Town, needs some assistance in creating some unconventional cuisine. His meat stores are presently empty, so I agreed to assist him with restocking.

Quick Walkthrough[edit]

  1. Speak to Brengolin to accept your next task.
  2. Gather the meat from wild fabricants.
  3. Negotiate with Bratheru Daram to get some nix-hound meat.
  4. Return to Brengolin.
  5. Wait for Brengolin to present his new meals and then talk to him.

Detailed Walkthrough[edit]

Having obtained some booze, Brengolin is now going to use it as a marinade for a meat dish. Unfortunately he's out of meat right now, so he suggests a mix of two things. "Meat" from wild fabricants - which may be hunted all over the wilderness of Clockwork, outside the Brass Fortress (three particular areas are suggested on the map, but fabricants can actually be found readily all over Clockwork): mixed in with some real actual meat, from stablemaster Bratheru Daram's nix-hounds. Which are, in fact, part machine themselves, but not entirely synthetic: Daram, in fact, has a ready store of nix-hound meat in his larder, which you may either buy from him, or steal from his strong-box (again, be careful not to be noticed if you choose the latter option).

Brengolin will be waiting for you by the daily quest givers, in Slag Town itself, to accept the ingredients, and will then invite you to return to his normal location in the Outlaws Refuge where he cooks up meals for three other residents, using the ingredients you found for him. The meals will be pronounced to be delicious: Brengolin rewards the player with the (gold-quality) recipe for Clockwork Citrus Filet.

Quest Stages[edit]

A Matter of Tenderness
Finishes Quest Journal Entry
Brengolin requested I acquire the flank of some wild fabricants, which will likely require some hunting, and some hand-raised nix-hound meat from Bratheru Daram's larder. With or without his permission.
Objective: Gather Wild Fabricant Meat: 0/12
Objective: Get Hand-Raised Nix Meat
Optional Step: Talk to Bratheru Daram
I procured all the cuts of meat that Brengolin requested. I should return to him in Slag Town.
Objective: Talk to Brengolin in Brass Fortress
I gave Brengolin the meat he requested and he rushed off to begin preparing a meal. He invited me to join him in Slag Town to see the fruits of my labor.
Objective: Meet Brengolin in Slag Town Outlaws Refuge
Finishes quest☑ Brengolin offered his prepared meals to his friends, and asked me to speak to him so that he can give me something as well.
Objective: Talk to Brengolin
Notes
* Any text displayed in angle brackets (e.g., <Alias=LocationHold>) is dynamically set by the game and will be filled in with the appropriate word(s) when seen in game.
  • Not all Journal Entries may appear in your journal; which entries appear and which entries do not depends on the manner in which the quest is done.
  • Stages are not always in order of progress. This is usually the case with quests that have multiple possible outcomes or quests where certain tasks may be done in any order. Some stages may therefore repeat objectives seen in other stages.
