"Montclair's nephew is close. Adusa can smell Rohlbert from here."
Using the codebook I discovered, Adusa has determined that Montclair's nephew, Rohlbert, is behind the assassination plot. She believes that if we eliminate Rohlbert, we can end this part of the Montclair threat once and for all.

Quick Walkthrough[edit]

  1. Speak to Adusa to learn abou the details of her plan.
  2. Head to Shornhelm and find Montclair Manor.
  3. Enter the manor and deal with Rohlbert Montclair.
  4. Meet and talk to Adusa outside the manor.

Detailed Walkthrough[edit]

Speak with Adusa-daro outside Ravenwatch Castle. She will tell you that Arcorion Two-Blades and Rasaba the Keen were hired by Montclair's nephew, and thanks to the codebook you found, she knows that Rohlbert Montclair is in the old Montclair Manor in Upper Shornhelm. She wants you to meet her there. Further inquiry teaches you that Rohlbert is making a power grab for a "slice of the Rivenspire pie."

Head downstairs to the Crestshade Wayshrine and recall to the Shornhelm Wayshrine (or walk there, heading roughly southeast). Walk west from the wayshrine into Upper Shornhelm and up the stairs. Montclair Manor is on the west side, past Shornhelm Castle. Adusa is waiting for you in front of the manor. Speak with her briefly to confirm readiness. She then yells and charges inside.

Follow her into the manor. She will already be upstairs, and you can hear her exchanging threats with Rohlbert. Race upstairs and down the hall to join the fight. Rohlbert will have two others fighting alongside him. After he is defeated, Adusa will vanish. Go back downstairs and outside to speak with her. She will praise you and revel in your joint victory before rewarding you and ending the quest.

Notes[edit]

  • Although the manor can be accessed, Montclair enemies and Rohlbert won't exist in the manor until speaking to Adusa outside.
  • Rohlbert will repeat himself on a loop until you reach him.

Objective: Leave Montclair Manor
With Rohlbert dead, the Montclair forces troubling Shornhelm shouldn't cause many more problems. I should speak to Adusa and make sure the threat has been eliminated.
Objective: Talk to Adusa-daro

* Any text displayed in angle brackets (e.g., <Alias=LocationHold>) is dynamically set by the game and will be filled in with the appropriate word(s) when seen in game.
  • Not all Journal Entries may appear in your journal; which entries appear and which entries do not depends on the manner in which the quest is done.
  • Stages are not always in order of progress. This is usually the case with quests that have multiple possible outcomes or quests where certain tasks may be done in any order. Some stages may therefore repeat objectives seen in other stages.
