OBNPCRP - Final Tweaks[edit]

Well, this NPC was significantly easier to do than Adanrel, mainly because he is dead. Apart from a new image, I think that he is ready to make company to Adanrel in the 'Finished' category. If no-one has any objections, I'll remove the tag a week from today. --SerCenKing Talk 13:15, 15 May 2009 (EDT)

It looks okay to me (except for the image). If anything, the small descriptions between the quotes could be a bit more inventive... Krusty 13:30, 15 May 2009 (EDT)
Fine by me. I certainly have no objections. I think the descriptions are just fine. Wolok gro-Barok 13:34, 15 May 2009 (EDT)
For the moment, I'd prefer that the template be left in place. See UESPWiki talk:Oblivion NPC Redesign Project/Archive 2#Removing_the_Tag. –RpehTCE 14:59, 15 May 2009 (EDT)
Fine with me. --SerCenKing Talk 03:46, 16 May 2009 (EDT)

Another rumor[edit]

I visited the Cheydinhal guild-hall today, and I overheard a "spoken" rumor - something along the lines of: "The water from the well have tasted weird recently". If somebody can look up this rumor in the CS, I think it would be great to include it - in a very macabre/funny way. Krusty 07:53, 31 May 2009 (EDT)

Yeah I heard that as well. I can't give you the exact text because of my Italian CS, but I know that it's only said before the quest. --SerCenKing Talk 12:19, 31 May 2009 (EDT)
Okay, I'll keep an ear out for the sentence, when I return to the guildhall - I think it definately deserves to be on his page. Maybe someone with the english CS can help out? Krusty 12:25, 31 May 2009 (EDT)
Have you noticed a change in the well water recently? It tastes strange to me. --NepheleTalk 13:52, 31 May 2009 (EDT)

Resilience[edit]

Why is it mandatory that half of this article be unreadable and the other half appear to be written by a 4 year old? -Daft 17:34, 5 July 2009 (UTC)

We understand that our articles are not perfect, but we're doing the best we can. This is why the Oblivion NPC Redesign Project and other projects have been established to help editors improve the site with minimal chaos. If you feel the article is flawed, please feel free to improve upon it instead of making unnecessary negative comments about the users who have already dedicated their time and effort to build it. If you would like to discuss the project guidelines, please do so on the relevant talk page. If you have any questions, please feel free to leave a message on my talk page :). –Eshetalk 00:16, 6 July 2009 (UTC)
I am aware of the NPC redesign project and, after I learned exactly what was expected of NPC pages, I made attempts to fix this article. All changes have been reverted. I have encountered little resistance while editing other NPC pages, but for some reason everyone loves this one exactly as it is. -Daft 01:11, 6 July 2009 (UTC)
I don't have any strong feelings about this page, personally, so I'm afraid you'll have to rely on those who disagree with the changes you made to provide adequate explanation. While edit summaries are a good way of providing a quick explanation of what you've done, a discussion is always preferred when there is a disagreement about page content. I agree that our guidelines for dialogue format are not in top form yet, but that's something that needs to be worked out on the project page. I'd prefer this issue be discussed in the appropriate space so we can work toward some sort of agreement about this issue. –Eshetalk 01:23, 6 July 2009 (UTC)

Falcar on Vidkun[edit]

I don't recall being able to ask Falcar about Vidkun, though the article states: Falcar himself is less sympathetic: "Run into him, have you? As I said, he was incompetent. Couldn't pass a simple lesson." Am I missing something, or should this be turned into a note instead? ~ Dwarfmp 17:56, 25 June 2011 (UTC)

There is no way that this dialogue is hearable. I have experimented just, trying several posibilities, not taking the ring ect and no matter what Falcar is either still there with no new dialogue or he is gone because of the script. I think that the dialogue should be left there, but a note should be made that it is only in the cs. I will do it now. If anyone ever managed to hear this dialogue in-game it can be removed from the notes section. --Manic 18:41, 25 June 2011 (UTC)
The only way I see this possible is when you talk to Falcar during the black soul gem quest, but I'm pretty sure the quest dialogue precedes any normal conversation. I was actually expecting to hear from others, preferrably the writer of Falcar's dialogue, but I suppose it can be moved then. But you are to move the whole dialogue line to the notes ~ Dwarfmp 18:52, 25 June 2011 (UTC)
I am not sure who wrote Falcar's page. I am currently assigned to work on the entire Mages Guild so it would help if anyone could confirm hearing this. What black soul gem quest? The second part of the Cheydinal recommendation or the Vaenirma's shrine quest? I suppose until we know whether or not it can be heard it should stay as a note. --Manic 18:58, 25 June 2011 (UTC)
A lot of people worked on Falcar's page, but I think I did most of the quest stuff ages ago. I can confirm that the line can't be heard in-game, not in Cheydinhal of in Silorn. -- Krusty 19:47, 25 June 2011 (UTC)
I'm going to upload the unused audio. Should I add it to this page as well? mxk101Talk 20:24, 25 June 2011 (UTC)
I think so, yes. It qualifies as a rumor. Oh, and if you're in an uploading mood, check out the notes section for Caldana Monrius. ;) --Krusty 20:27, 25 June 2011 (UTC)
I have uploaded all of the dialogue. mxk101Talk 22:26, 25 June 2011 (UTC)
You're a star! Thank you - and goddam Ilses where everything is missing! :D --Krusty 22:30, 25 June 2011 (UTC)

Strength[edit]

Vidkun being a Nord, who get +10 to strength, and having an almost entirely empty inventory would technically be able carry the Ring of Burden easily. His strength should be 40 minimum giving him an encumbrance of 200. 82.132.237.52 15:02, 3 July 2024 (UTC)

This is correct, his inventory weight (inc. the ring) is actually 153, whereas his encumbrance is 255. I've added a note to the page. --SerCenKing (talk) 15:41, 13 July 2024 (UTC)
