Nivan's schedule[edit]

During the quest I followed Nivan around for a day because I had trouble getting him to eat his poisoned apple. The Nord died easily without me being near him, but for some reason Nivan didnt eat until I watched him do it. I play vanilla oblivion on xbox.

8am-12 am. Wanders around town.
12 pm. Goes to his house and stands around.
3 pm. Goes to tavern and talks to people.
6pm. Goes to his house to stand around.
1 am. Oddly, even though I had 100% chameleon he followed me around the house, behaving like I had overstayed my welcome but didnt say anything. I left the house.
6 am. Gets up, goes to table, sits down and eats.

Hope this helps:)

Oh I just realised this is on his page already. I must have missed it cause I mainly read the quest page. anyway, him not eating unless I was there is still handy info:) --Merari 02:33, 4 November 2010 (UTC)

Hmm, seems like there's some differences between your observations and mine (I wrote his schedule) - just to make sure, I'll take another look at ol' Nivan later today. Oh, and btw - 100% Chameleon is overruled when you are inside an NPCs house, when the NPC changes package. E.g.; if he started to "run" after you at midnight THAT would be the time he will go to bed. Thanks for posting! Krusty 07:10, 4 November 2010 (UTC)
I wouldnt bother, your observations are probably more accurate than mine. I only followed him for little over a day, when waiting in town for 24 hours produced the message that Hrol had died, but not for Nivan.
I had noticed before that some NPC's only do certain actions in front of me, not when Im in another cell.
Also I always rounded to the nearest hour, and I suppose I should have to the previous whole hour.
Thanks for the info on chameleon and NPC behaviour:)
I suppose chameleon actually makes NPC's ignore you, instead of not register you? I have noticed that shopkeeps turn towards me when Im 'cloaked', even if I dont engage in conversation. I know most merchants have some 'follow' script. Too bad we cant enchant constant effect invisibility like in Morrowind, I would have loved to experiment with that.
