Where do they go?[edit]

Do Merete and her fellow Battlemages vanish from the game once Ambush is over, or do they head somewhere else? I recall the Battlemages from the Anvil Recomendation quest vanishing, so I assume they do the same... — Unsigned comment by 87.127.79.8 (talk) on 28 August 2008

These Battlemages remain at Silorn forever, if they aren't killed during or after the quest. -- LordDagon 12:54, 28 August 2008 (EDT)
I'm not so sure... They haven't died in my games but aren't standing around. When I priding them and use enable they reappear, which usually mean they have been disabled. Having said that, I can't find anything that disables them. I've looked everywhere scripts normally live and can't see the magic MereteRef.disable (or the equivalent for the other two). They don't seem to have a parent item either. For the moment I'm going to mark this as a good question, but it's quite possible I'm missing something. LordDagon - are they definitely still in your games, and how long ago is it you did the quest? –RpehTCE 13:49, 28 August 2008 (EDT)
I just visited Silorn on my oldest save file, (200+ hours gameplay, MG questline completed much earlier), and all three of the Battlemages are still there, standing around. Is it possible they got killed during the quest for you, Rpeh? Or a third-party mod decided to disable them? Darkle 20:07, 11 October 2008 (EDT)
They certainly didn't die, but I suppose it could be something to do with mods. There's nothing that affects them directly, but something may have caused a cell reset. –RpehTCE 03:39, 12 October 2008 (EDT)
Having played through again with no mods, the battlemages definitely stay at Silorn. I can only assume my previous experience was caused by a mod. –RpehTCE 04:46, 16 November 2008 (EST)

The image link doesn't work.[edit]

A database query syntax error has occurred. This may indicate a bug in the software. The last attempted database query was: (SQL query hidden) from within function "OutputPage::addCategoryLinks". MySQL returned error "2006: MySQL server has gone away (70.38.12.115)". Retrieved from "http://www.uesp.net/wiki/File:OB-npc-Merete.jpg" This is annoying, seeing as through a Google image search: I can't find pictures of her either. All I'm left with is the meager thumbnail. — Unsigned comment by 72.181.109.170 (talk) at 00:03 on 26 May 2010

It works fine for me. --Krusty 11:16, 26 May 2010 (UTC)
