Do we want this?[edit]

I'm not sure we want this page. I went through all the NPCs a little while back and eliminated all the test characters from the list. There are loads of these, like "Will flee when losing" and "Dewey Decimal" and they don't really add anything to the game. I know we document Ris Fralmoton and other NPCs not in the game, but those have unique lines or items or other features that makes them worth including. I'd like to hear what others think about this. rpeh •TCE 11:14, 5 September 2011 (UTC)

I think that test characters are fine, but test books shouldnt be done because there is no lore version. (From Fear to Eternity- Eddie The Head 11:19, 5 September 2011 (UTC))
We can create a lore version if necessary, and can suppress the link if we don't want it. I'm just not sure about all these articles for test objects. rpeh •TCE 11:27, 5 September 2011 (UTC)
I don't think it serves a purpose. Perhaps we could detail the Test characters on one page, but I don't think we need a page for each one. And like you said, the other characters are characters that just didn't make it for one reason or another. Elliot (talk) 15:25, 5 September 2011 (UTC)
I've been intending to create a page for the test characters for a while. I'd go with Elliot's suggestion. --AKB Talk Cont Mail 15:33, 5 September 2011 (UTC)
Yes, a page for all test characters seems perfect. It's interesting to find out about these characters, but it's not like they'll get a heap of details too big for one page ~ Dwarfmp 10:52, 6 September 2011 (UTC)
Yay Elliot! That is a great idea! I might even help...maybe...if I feel like it... --DKong27 Tk Ctr Em 15:20, 6 September 2011 (UTC)
A test NPC article is a great idea. A page for test items could potentially get very messy, but it would be nice to have. I think test books should be ordered similar to Oblivion:Notes, rather than getting their own page. --Legoless 17:48, 6 September 2011 (UTC)

() Perhaps an easy sweep would be to go down the list of objects with no reference? Off hand I have no clue how many test objects there are...I've noticed quite a few during my time in the CS... --DKong27 Tk Ctr Em 18:16, 6 September 2011 (UTC)

There's quite a lot. See this old version of one of my sandboxes. All the ones in "Obvious Tests" would need mentioning. rpeh •TCE 18:47, 6 September 2011 (UTC)
Hmm, looking at some of those red links, a list page might be handy for some others too, such as the Arena Combatants and the voices. Those aren't very well documented at the moment. --DKong27 Tk Ctr Em 18:52, 6 September 2011 (UTC)
I must say that I do worry about using {{NPC Summary}} for them though like we do on pages such as Oblivion:Knight of the Nine. It should be a little more consise than that, IMO. Elliot (talk) 21:55, 6 September 2011 (UTC)
Would the NPCs need separate images? It would make for some interesting shots, but there's quite the amount. As Elliot pointed out, the usual format would be pretty clunky. Perhaps the NPCs should be split up somehow - maybe a separate page for the completely unused ones (if there are any, which I assume there must be). There aren't enough of them to make an alphabetical list, I wouldn't think. --Legoless 22:13, 6 September 2011 (UTC)
Umm...Did this conversation just kind of end? I hate to nudge it now (You all now what I'm talking about) but this page is showing up as orphaned and is annoying me. So unless anyone was planning on doing anything with it, I was thinking of moving to a sandbox in my userspace. I can't guarantee that I'll get a lot done or to everyone's standards, but an open sandbox would a least give a better option I think. --DKong27 Tk Ctr Em 23:35, 1 November 2011 (UTC)
I tried listing some test NPCs in a table format here, if you're interested. --Legoless 00:23, 2 November 2011 (UTC)
