Free access to Arcane University?[edit]

Actually, there is a gate that leads into the Arcane University. While entering and leaving, I've noticed there is at least one, maybe more than one NPC that will open the gate to come and go. Can you "tailgate" this NPC to enter and leave the arcane University without actually completing the quests? If someone can verify this I think this would be a useful addition to this section. Even if you did get inside the university, all the doors inside the buildings are locked and impossible to open until you gain access the correct way. But yes, it may be good to note that on the article. --Aristeo 13:20, 2 November 2006 (EST)

Page Name[edit]

Shouldn't the title of this quest page be "Join the Mages Guild". There is no quest named "Arcane University Access" and the objective to complete all recommendations is covered by the quest named "Join the Mages Guild" (MG00Join). --Timenn 09:00, 19 July 2007 (EDT)

Yep, I agree. An article for the quest Join the Mages Guild was only just recently created, and I suggested on that article's cleanup that perhaps the information from this article should be moved there. Given how long this article has been here and the length of its edit history, I'm not sure we can actually delete it, but we could change it into a permanent redirect to Join the Mages Guild. --NepheleTalk 12:32, 19 July 2007 (EDT)
That is a good idea. Should we just copy the info here to Join the Mages Guild and add the unique information there to the content of this page.? I would be willing to do that. --Timenn 15:23, 19 July 2007 (EDT)
My preference would be to have a single article that contains all of the information, and then change the other article into a redirect (instead of trying to maintain two redundant articles). If you'd like to tackle revamping Join the Mages Guild, I definitely won't complain ;) --NepheleTalk 15:50, 19 July 2007 (EDT)
Join the Mages Guild is done (as if an article is ever done). I also updated all pages linking to this page, so there should be none left. --Timenn 18:31, 19 July 2007 (EDT)
Thanks, Timenn! I've gone ahead and moved this talk page and changed Arcane University Access into a redirect. --NepheleTalk 20:44, 20 July 2007 (EDT)

`Help,please![edit]

I used the Console command to skip all the recommandation quest's,Stage 90,but theres no new dialoge for him? Is there a fix for tis? — Unsigned comment by 83.85.138.117 (talk) on 29 November 2009

Load a previous save and actually do the quests. –Elliot talk 15:11, 13 December 2009 (UTC)

Criminal record...?[edit]

I was just reading through the dialog for this quest on the CS and noticed that while everyone has two dialogs for criminal activity or not, it is only the welcoming one that advances the quest and adds the rec-quests (naturaly). But the strange thing is that both of Falcar's dialogs advances the quest to stage 24; saying that you are a criminal and cannot join. Is this a miss on Beth's part or is it just my CS? (I might have changed something...) — Unsigned comment by 83.252.87.57 (talk) at 18:02 on 22 April 2010

If you have a bounty you cannot join the Guild. That's their "Criminal record"--Arch-Mage MattTalk 18:06, 22 April 2010 (UTC)
Yes I know that, but that wasn't the question! I asked why does both of Falcar's responces trigger the queststage 24; saying I have a bounty even though I don't. — Unsigned comment by 83.252.87.57 (talk) at 18:13 on 22 April 2010
Sorry... I've joined through Falcar before, so I don't know why it says that... could you test it in-game?--Arch-Mage MattTalk 18:32, 22 April 2010 (UTC)
I've now tested it and you do get the stage 24 (but it doesn't pop up so you don't notice it) and you also get the stage 50 right after; telling you to collect recommendations. This this seems like a flaw. Could someone else try it just to confirm? — Unsigned comment by 83.252.87.57 (talk) at 19:07 on 22 April 2010
If you talk to Falcar about joining the guild then tell him you don't want to, you get left with your journal on stage 24. I suppose that's technically a bug, but a very minor one. rpeh •TCE 11:56, 23 April 2010 (UTC)

Speculation/personal opinion in my opinion (haha), if you disagree feel free to re-add it. --AKB Talk 06:19, 21 February 2011 (UTC)
