Added location table--Zengief 20:04, 11 April 2006 (EDT)

I've been adding locations onto the main Ingredients page as well. Though I'm not just limiting it to farms. Perhaps it might be better to rename this page to something else, since it's specific to farms? Maybe "Ingredients Found on Farms" or something. Having the locations on the main ingredients page is more convenient, and also not limited to just farm-grown stuff. I wouldn't suggest getting rid of this page, as it's still useful. (I used it myself when adding locations of some ingredients to the main page.) But due to its limited scope, I would still advocate a name change. Thoughts? -- TheRealLurlock 14:48, 22 May 2006 (EDT)

Formatting suggestion[edit]

Just added the Arcane Univserity. A few other farms should be added as well. Shetcombe Farm NE of Kvatch is a good one, largest replenishing supply of Leeks and Pumpkins among other things. Other farms and gardens: Shardrock, Border Watch, Brina Cross Inn, probably a bunch more. Might make sense as this list grows to split it into 2 columns, or somehow format it better. The current system wastes a lot of space. Perhaps just have the name of the farm on top, with the items found there below, in a list, like:

Some farm

  • 20 corn
  • 10 wheat
  • etc.

Another farm

  • 3 pumpkin
  • 4 watermelon
  • etc.

And then have it split into 3 or even 4 columns. Someone more familiar with wiki formatting than myself may have to set that up, however. -- TheRealLurlock 14:01, 26 May 2006 (EDT)

Adding Farms like a madman now. Disclaimer: I'm only going by the lists showing in the Construction Set. In many cases, plants growing in the wild in the same cell as the farm will be included. But I'm basically just sticking to locations that have a large quantity of "crop"-type plants, corn, rice, pumpkins, etc. Stuff that doesn't just grow in the wild. If there happen to be 60+ Vipers Bugloss growing around a farm, well, they'll get included. No big problem, I guess, as some people might want to stock up on non-crop like ingredients, and this can help with that as well. Still looking for somebody to make the formatting nicer. As I continue adding farms, this page becomes more and more un-weildy in terms of space-usage. -- TheRealLurlock 22:11, 30 May 2006 (EDT)

Frostcrag Spire[edit]

I figured Frostcrag Spire's Alchemy Garden (I finally splurged on an official mod!) should be added in here, too (not really a farm, but the Arcane University's gardens are already here). The only problem is that it makes the columns really uneven in length. And since it (of course) falls exactly half-way through the list, I don't see any easy way to even out the columns.--Nephele 14:07, 19 July 2006 (EDT)

How's that? I still want to reformat this page one of these days. Plus there's a good chance there are smaller farms I missed when I did this way back when. The page is still too bulky, and I'd rather make it three or four columns. I'm thinking I'll just use the same format as the Oblivion:People page. No need for the name of the farm to waste space by having its own column. I now have the skills necessary to do this, so maybe when I get home I'll do it. --TheRealLurlock 16:11, 19 July 2006 (EDT)
I like the new columns. Too bad those column lengths are so uncooperative, but I'm guessing it's a waste of time to try and tweak them: with the words wrapping around, there's no way to get them to be the same length on everybody's different-sized monitors.--Nephele 19:57, 19 July 2006 (EDT)
