Article needs setstage stages[edit]

The NPC who sells the furnishing is bugged and causes game to crash. Only way to get rid of quest is with console commands, but this quest article has no quest code or stage codes.

Dead Furnishing Seller :S[edit]

Hi, i've bought the house in Bruma but the person who sells the furnishings was killed in the olav and tap by an NPC. Is there anything i can do?

Thanks 92.2.213.104 23:53, 26 July 2010 (UTC)

Sadly, no. Unless you're on the computer, in which you could either resurrect him or use the console to complete the quest. --Arch-Mage MattTalk 23:59, 26 July 2010 (UTC)
The Console codes prid 00036267 and then resurrect and enable should bring him back if you're on the PC. rpeh •TCE 00:10, 27 July 2010 (UTC)

No Furnishings[edit]

Hi, i've bought the house in bruma and directly afterwords i bought the furnishings, now usually when i buy furnishings i stop talking to the person who sold me them and the game tells me that i now have all the furniture for that house, i then give the furnishing deeds back and nothing happens, but this time i bought them and gave them back without ending the conversation with him and now i dont have the furniture or the furnishing deeds and he wont sell me buy them back, what do i do? — Unsigned comment by Dunma93 (talkcontribs) on 30 October 2010

As the Houses page says: "Warning: Immediately selling the upgrade papers after having bought them from the merchant (without ever exiting the conversation) prevents the new upgrades from ever appearing in the house. Furthermore, the upgrades will not reappear in the merchant's sales list, since you "gave" away the no-cost notes.". You'll have to reload an earlier save. rpeh •TCE 08:23, 30 October 2010 (UTC)

chests[edit]

Should it be noted which chests are re-spawning? i will gladly do it, but im not sure which ones do and which don't.Qwertyone 22:13, 12 May 2011 (UTC)

ok, i tested it, and as far as i can tell, nothing re-spawns, but i would like someone else to confirm this. Also, since nothing does re spawn, would it really be worth noting?Qwertyone 22:13, 12 May 2011 (UTC)
The entire point to a player owned house is that nothing respawns...--DKong27 Talk Cont 23:54, 12 May 2011 (UTC)
No chests inside of any purchased homes will respawn.Obliviongamer 19:23, 28 June 2011 (UTC)

No Fire[edit]

I think it's odd and kind of funny that the purchasable house in the coldest region of Cyrodiil is the only one without a lit fireplace. You can even see the grate isn't even inside the fireplace, which leads me to believe maybe someone working on the game noticed there was no fire, so they left the grate out so the person who was responsible for particle effects would see it out and realize it needed some flames. Just a thought. --D. Gemini 21:29, 26 August 2011 (UTC)

I know. It's odd that you can't put a fire in yourself too. Dragonman0007 02:41, 20 January 2012
I managed to get a roaring fire going by collecting a couple dozen torches, dropping them one at a time and dragging them into the hearth. Leave the house and go about your business and when you next return its has a roaring fire going. -----[:|(talk) 00:03, 20 August 2015 (UTC)'--Zombiezil (talk) 00:10, 20 August 2015 (UTC)

Weird fluctuations[edit]

I bought the house and the upgrades, and then went and cleared out a dungeon, coming back with some Welkynd Stones and an Elven Ceremonial Helmet. Since the latter is worth bless-all for anything other than a decoration, I decided to dump it on a shelf in the bedroom. But when I dropped it and tried to pick it up again, it came up marked as stolen goods! I left it, did one or two other things, came back, and when I tried to pick it up a second time, it was fine. The same thing happened to several of the Welkynd Stones when I dropped them to maneuver them onto the shelves -- sometimes they would turn "stolen," and sometimes they were fine. (I'd gotten them all in perfectly orthodox ways by taking them from their holders in a dungeon, and none had been flagged as "stolen" then.) There seem to be no consequences of this, but it is rather odd. 174.6.51.17 22:21, 15 December 2011 (UTC)

Actually the Bruma house for sale does have a lit fire in the fireplace in the CS. Why it does not show up in game is beyond me. Spirited Treasure 7/14/2013
