Weird Bug[edit]

I gave Biene the money (hey I'm that kinda guy) then went to the tomb to check it out. Unforunately I can't open the door to the tomb. When I approach the door there's no "door" symbol. However I can walk right through the door and the surrounding rocks as though it isn't there. Amusing really. — Unsigned comment by 59.167.94.231 (talk)

I just tried it and it didn't happen to me. Everything was normal. --Mankar CamoranTCE 08:13, 20 November 2007 (EST)

Another weird bug[edit]

The armor isn't there for me when i look for it. Must be due to some addon. Just using unofficial oblivion patch and some smaller mods, like UI. But the armor is nowhere to be found. So if you're using the OUP, pay the woman 1000 gold if you dont want to get stuck.— Unsigned comment by 80.251.207.10 (talk)

The UOP isn't the problem as I usually run with it installed and the quest worked fine for me. It must be one of your other mods. –RpehTCE 02:11, 1 September 2008 (EDT)

Amelion Armor[edit]

Has anyone noticed it's a silvery-blue version of ebony armor, only not as good? --65.87.242.28 13:23, 10 September 2008 (EDT)

The whole suit of armor and even the sword are one big palette change. The sword in and of itself is slightly darker than a regular Silver longsword, and the hilt is shorter, along with a different design on the blade. Despite it being low level armor, the majority of it can be enchanted and renamed, making it valuable for someone who want their own entirely unique set of armor (Save the cuirass and sword)24.110.27.221 15:25, 6 June 2010 (UTC)

Skeletal Hand?[edit]

While I was plundering the tomb today, I discovered a skeletal hand which was positioned as if it was grasping the hilt of Brusef Amelion's sword. When I picked it up, I got a message along the lines of "blahblah you found a skeletal hand. you should hang on to it as it is probably useful". It also counts as a quest item, and I cannot drop it, which is rather odd. I've poked around the internet a bit, but have been unable to locate this hand under any reference as far as id, or even seeing it brought up in forums. Anyone else find this, or know perhaps what is going on? Scxe 14:29, 31 March 2009 (EDT)

Are you sure it hasn't come from one of your mods? Can you give us the exact text so I can try to look it up? –RpehTCE 14:40, 31 March 2009 (EDT)
I doubt it has come from one of my mods, as I have completed almost all of them without using this before. It is possible however, and if it is from a mod, i'd suspect Midas Magic, but ah well. Here is what it says when I pick up the hand: "I have recovered a mysterious skeletal hand. I should hold on to it as it may be useful later." It says this in a pop up type box in the center of my screen, similar to the wait/rest box. It does not update my quest log. Scxe 14:57, 31 March 2009 (EDT)
A search through my exported scripts file doesn't find anything like that phrase up. Unless someone can find anything, I'm still thinking it's a mod. –RpehTCE 15:36, 31 March 2009 (EDT)
How would I go about a search on my end to discover what mod is causing it? Scxe 15:43, 31 March 2009 (EDT)
Disable each mod and reload the saved game until you don't get the message. –RpehTCE 15:56, 31 March 2009 (EDT)

I tested it today, it is due to the Midas Magic mod that I have running. Thanks! Scxe 12:55, 2 April 2009 (EDT)

I would point out that it seems to be the Skeletal Hand from the Benirous Manor quest. Kiutu 22:43, 12 December 2009 (UTC)

PS3 GOTY[edit]

In this edition, we find Biene's house always marked with a red illegal action icon, so added in notes. - BGT— Unsigned comment by 217.42.100.78 (talk) at 18:01 on 17 February 2010

Yep, it was also illegal for me enter it during the quest and I had a non-GOTY disk for my PS3. I've added a verification tag to see if others can confirm. Talk Wolok gro-Barok Contributions 12:08, 22 February 2010 (UTC)
It has been confirmed - as well as fixed by the UOP. Talk Wolok gro-Barok Contributions 19:57, 19 April 2010 (UTC)

Amelion's Debt (Armour and Sword)[edit]

I've been to the crypt but the armour and sword are not there.

I've searched carefully, they're just not there.

I've returned three times in hopes that they will appear but to no avail.

Can anybody help? Can I complete the quest without the items?

Thanks, MPG

Yes, pay Bienne 1,000 gold and you do not need to find the armor. If you don't have 1,000 gold, just look for enchanted weapons/armor and sell them.--Arch-Mage MattTalk 00:43, 19 April 2010 (UTC)
That should work, but there's no reason the items shouldn't be there. Try looking at our maps and see if that helps. rpeh •TCE 06:52, 20 April 2010 (UTC)
If you've found the cave/crypt, I'd suggest turning the brightness up, some of the pieces of armour are a little hard to find, especially the helmet (I had to look up where it was :P ) Mikeyboy52 15:44, 6 June 2010 (UTC)
Same thing happened to me: I'm using the original (not GoTY) PS3 version of the game, and while I easily found all the other pieces of Amelion's armor, the cuirass and sword do not appear on the stone slab where they supposed to. I don't know if this bug is happens all the time on the PS3 or not, but it did happen to me. 08:38 CEST, 22 June 2012

Doubles[edit]

After I got the enchanted pieces I saw I had 2 of the swords. At Cheydinhal I saw the entire Amelion armor doubled. Happen to anyone else?
