Oblivion Mod:Order of the Dragon/Monsters

Monsters (also known as mythical creatures) are creatures with various magical abilities, ranging from attacks to various resistances. Monsters are commonly encountered along roads or in the wilderness, where they are randomly generated based upon leveled lists. Monsters are also encountered in various ruins and caves.

Daughter of the Threads

This creature looks like a gigantic tarantula. There are two of them: one is encounted in the Temple of the Dead during the quest The Way of the Dead, and the other resides in the Sacrifice Hall of the Temple in Kathar. Both versions have the following characteristics:

Djinni

The djinni (plural is djinn, though the creature is unique) is a creature that can be summoned via a magic lamp. It will grant three wishes (see the quest Forgotten Servants, after which it and the lamp will disappear. The djinni is nonaggressive and will not fight for you - it will only grant wishes. It has no other abilities.

Durzog

Durzogs are aggressive reptilian creatures that roam the salt waste of Mephala's Realm. A larger, more powerful version (L30) called the grave durzog can be found in the High Temple of Ash'uhn.

Gargoyle Statue

This unique creature (construct?) guards Andalis' Armor in Andalis' Tomb. It is encountered during the quest Thick Walls. It has the following characteristics:

Glyptodon

These small creatures resemble armadillos (fun fact: they actually existed on Earth, in prehistoric times, though they were much larger). They are aggressive, though weak and not much of a challenge to most adventurers. They have the following characteristics:

• Has a 25% chance of being infected with any one of seven diseases: Lung Blood Lung, Break Fever Bone Break Fever, Brain Rot, Limb Feeble Limb, Rage Red Rage, Shakes, or Pox Witless Pox.

Salt Spider

A variety of large spider that inhabits the salt wastes of Mephala's realm. Unlike other spiders, these cannot be summoned via spirit potions. They have the following characteristics:

• Level: 4
• Drops: Desert Spider Poison Gland.
• Damage Health 70pts melee, unarmed on touch.
• Resist Normal Weapons 30% (via spell).
• Resist Poison 100% (via spell).

Sand Dreugh

A larger, more powerful version of the land dreugh that can be found in Mephala's realm. They have the following characteristics:

• Resist magic 20%
