Description[edit]

The Return of Dagoth Ur is a four level dungeon unlike others I've seen in the game so far. I don't mean to sound arrogant by that, its just that most of the dungeons are fairly straight forward. Of course there are notable exceptions like Ivellon and Lost Spires and a few others. With my dungeon I've tried to make it feel cramped in places, and claustrophobic. There's a lot of dark places where you'll need a torch; you should use a torch rather than light spells and night eye. It looks better. I've also made a few new models to use as switches and secret doors. Now, anything can be a switch or secret wall. The switches for doors are no longer giant levers, but small and hidden away.

Traps are another thing I've upgraded from vanilla. There are several hard to spot, deadly traps. There are also several lesser traps as well to keep you on your toes.

The dungeon starts out as a cave system and moves downward through a fort, and returns to the deep earth.

There is a story, told via books and notes. I did it this way because the voice system is so clunky and difficult to use after the patch. I also didn't want to bother getting voice actors etc. I think it works well as it stands.

The rewards for exploring the dungeon are many. There are various custom weapons and items, and if you've seen my mods before, you know they're unusual for the most part, although all fit into the game well. No coffee shops here.

The Lore was something I struggled with and I hope people don't get too upset. You've seen in the title of this post what the story involves, and I am certain there will be people who groan and shake heads. I've stuck as much as I can to a story that might be possible given the fate of Dagoth Ur in the previous game, and remember, this all started as a way to get a happenstance model into the game in a fun way.
