Januarius Aurunceia

Januarius Aurunceia is an Imperial commoner, and the footman and boot-puller to Count Marius Caro in Castle Leyawiin. His wife, Janonia, performs similar duties for the Countess.

Having served three generations of Caros, Januarius knows exactly what is expected of him and carries out his duties flawlessly every day of the week. He shares a bed with his wife in the easternmost room of the Servant's Quarters and sleeps there every night between midnight and 6am. After waking up, he wanders around the quarters until 8am, when he heads upstairs to the County Hall dining area. At midday, he heads down into the basement where he stays for two hours. At 2pm, he returns to the Servant's Quarters, finds an empty chair, and enjoys a two-hour lunch. He will stay in the quarters for the rest of the day, just wandering around, interrupted only by a two-hour dinner at 6pm. At 11pm, Janonia returns from the dinner party upstairs and they spend the last hour of the day together before going to bed at midnight.

Being a servant evidently does not provide much wealth for Januarius as he can only afford a lower-class outfit consisting of a shirt with suspenders with huntsman pants and moccasins. He carries a useful raft of keys and a small amount of gold.

Dialogue

When you approach him for the first time, he will introduce himself:

"I am Januarius Aurunceia, the Count's footman and boot-puller."

He will elaborate on his duties when asked about Leyawiin:

"I'm the Count's man's-man in all occasions... have been for donkey's years. I run the Count's errands and do whatever's required."
