Elragail is a Wood Elf bard living in the Imperial City's Talos Plaza District in the home of her friend Thamriel, who she looks after.
Elragail always sleeps together with Thamriel from 10pm to 6am, but once she wakes up her schedule varies depending on the day of the week. On weekdays, she will wander around the house until 10am, heads to The Foaming Flask for a two-hour breakfast and then return home to relax for another two hours. At 2pm she sets off to for The Tiber Septim Hotel and spends the next five hours chatting with her friend Augusta Calidia. After returning home at 7pm, she spends the rest of the evening relaxing with Thamriel.
On Loredas, she leaves home earlier at 8am and heads to the Temple of the One for prayers. She returns at 12pm and spends the next five hour pacing around, before heading out for a stroll around Green Emperor Way. At 9pm she heads back home. On Sundas she stays home until midday and then strolling around the Market District until 8pm, when she heads home.
Contents
Her social circles are not restricted to the Imperial City, however. At midnight on the 24th of every month she will set off towards Anvil on a long journey. She crosses the Talos Bridge and heads south on the Red Ring Road before finally heading west on the Gold Road. She walks past the famous vineyards near Skingrad after twelve hours of traveling and finally reaches Anvil around midnight on the 25th after a full day's travel. She heads first to the The Count's Arms, where she will chat to the other patrons until 7pm, when she pays a visit to Countess Millona Umbranox at Castle Anvil. She makes polite conversation with the Countess and her dinner guests until they retire at midnight, at which point she heads back to the Imperial City.
She wears middle-class clothes consisting of a russet felt outfit and thick cowhide shoes. She carries burgundy linens, Thamriel's house key, and a medium amount of gold. She uses a major leveled Illusion spell which is Chameleon, Invisibility, or Silence.
Dialogue[edit]
Speaking to Elragail for the first time will have her say:
- "My name is Elragail. I look after Thamriel. He's [sic] a little strange. 'Touched by the Gods', they say."
Asking her about the Imperial City will have her say:
- Imperial City
- "Thamriel says she hears voices. All the men and women who lived and died here for thousands of years... maybe they left ghosts behind."
Unused Dialogue[edit]
It appears that Thamriel was supposed to have a unique line about the Imperial City. This line was assigned to Elragail instead (who will never say this line as a different line will take prominence over it). Judging from the similarity to Thamriel's other dialogue line in contrast to Elragail's dialogue, it appears that it was meant for her:
- Imperial City
- "I beg your pardon. The city? Here's the city. All around us. A thousand stones, a thousand souls. I hear them all. Sometimes. But not right now. They're all quiet. Did you frighten them away?" (listen)
- Version 3.0.0 of the Unofficial Oblivion Patch makes this line available to Thamriel again.
Notes[edit]
- Elragail was also intended to play a role in the unfinished Imperial Express quest: at midday on the 23rd of each month, as long as Mog gra-Mogakh is still alive, she will head to the Black Horse Courier and stay there for a brief moment before resuming her usual schedule.
