Premature Quest

I received this quest without getting the prompt from Nileno. I broke into the Hlaalo Manor, found the corpse, and talked to the servant, who gave me the description regardless, and the quest appeared in my journal. I asked around, got information on both Nine-Toes and Velas, promptly killed Velas, and talked to Nileno again. She rewarded me and the quest was marked as completed. no reward

Acquiring Quest

You can not acquire the quest from Dorvayn by talking about business and then Ralen Hlaalo as stated in the guide. If you engage her in the business entry she simply asks if you want to join House Hlaalu. King Mango (talk) 19:56, 11 November 2013 (GMT)

Ralen Hlaalo is the topic needed to trigger the quest, which can be done as or not as a member of House Hlaalu, provided you are able to acquire the Ralen Hlaalo topic, such as in the Thieves Guild quest to steal his brandy. If you're not a member of House Hlaalu and you discuss business, Dorvayn asks if you want to join the House. If you are a member, then when it's time for her to give the quest, she will use the Business topic to give you the Ralen Hlaalo topic. -damon  ^xoxo 20:01, 11 November 2013 (GMT)
