Yakov can never be free[edit]

I have made an edit to this page - after extensive testing using Command Humanoid to take the slave Yakov from this location (and also testing this on Khinjarsi from the House of Earthly Delights) I can confirm he cannot be freed because he does not possess the necessary scripts to go free like other slaves. Attempting to take him to Saturan (or any other location with a slave key) brings up an issue of the "go free" topic not being present unless the player actually has the key in their inventory, as opposed to regular slaves who can still be asked about the topic "go free" even if the player doesn't have the slave key. If the key is present, the topic is present, however there is an error. The following message will appear if you attempt to free one of these slaves:

"Script Dialogue CompileAndRun

Syntax Error Line 1

Could not find variable "slaveStatus"

Continue running executable?"

Selecting no will kill Morrowind. Selecting yes brings up the next warning message:

"==>CompileAndRun problem was found in Topic "go free"

"Yes, now I am free. Thank you, %PCName."

Continue running executable?"

As before, No shuts down Morrowind, and Yes brings the player back to the normal dialogue box. The NPC in question will have said the same lines as any normally freed slave but clicking the topic "go free" again restarts the same cycle, and the NPC is never actually freed, never drops their slave bracer(s), and never disappears from the game the way a normal freed slave does when transitioning to a different cell. EDIT: After further testing I have made a mitake - the Argonians can be free as normal, but Yakov who is an unconventional slave (being an Altmer instead of the normal Khajiit or Argonian) seems to be the only slave who can never be freed. DwarfWarden (talk) 19:20, 26 May 2019 (UTC)
