Mercantile[edit]

I just checked this and can confirm it's true. I started a new character and tried to buy some armor from Arillie - it cost 84 gold. I then ran into a corner of the room until my fatigue dropped a bit and the price rose to 86. Strange, but true. rpeh •TCE 06:46, 21 April 2010 (UTC)

It makes sense to me, but it's really hard to explain. You can't be all suave and charismatic to a merchant if you're sweating like a dog. When you're tired, you're easy to take advantage of and more likely to accept the first price you hear. That's what I think, anyway. --Zander490 19:41, 7 June 2010 (UTC)
In real life, being tired makes everything harder - reflexes, sustained movement, and thought. Personality falls under that last one - you can't come up with what the merchant wants to hear quick enough if you're beat. Isn't it Disposition that is affected by Fatigue? So, in your Arillie test, lowering your fatigue lowered your disposition with him, and thus raised the price? 68.72.55.190 17:27, 13 September 2010 (UTC)

Negating Fatigue Loss?[edit]

Fatigue Regeneration[edit]

At what speed does fatigue regenerate? And is that dependent on endurance or willpower or something?

Removed From Page[edit]

"It can be used when you deal with merchants: if you want to sell something and get a good price, make sure you have maximum Fatigue. If not, wait for 1 hour. It applies to training prices, too."

I've personally never heard this nor noticed any impact when I play, so I'm not sure if this is true. Can anybody else confirm/deny this? •WoahBro►talk 14:12, 19 April 2015 (GMT)

It is true that the amount of fatigue you have will affect the prices of merchants and services such as training. However, the page already mentions that "Surprisingly, even Mercantile is affected by fatigue". The first few sentences on the Mercantile page explain all the different things it has a factor on, including the prices of bartering and services, so I think it would be redundant to mention that information again on this page. Fatigue Loss from Swimming discrepancy[edit]

The wiki page says Swimming (run-key in water) uses 7 fatigue per second. But in a fresh copy of the Steam GOTY version it seems to be 5/sec + encumbrance penalty. This is exactly the same as running. The encumbrance penalty (probably) scales from 0 to 2 per second. -- player->setendurance 125 -- swim in water.

Also, I think the asterisks for the encumbrance penalty footnote are in the wrong place, anyway. Ought to be in the Cost column. — Unsigned comment by Mush (talkcontribs) at 18:48 on 18 January 2024
