What does ranis say?[edit]

What does Ranis tell you when she's kicked out of the guild if you frame her? C Teng 19:56, 31 July 2008 (EDT)

Never mind, I tested it. She disappears from the guild if you lie to the Archmage. C Teng 20:12, 31 July 2008 (EDT)
Yeah, that tends to happen. DaedryonTCE 20:28, 31 July 2008 (EDT)

Other Journal entries?[edit]

Is it just me or I can't get the other journal entries except for the credentials and the end report? — Unsigned comment by 112.202.26.86 (talk) at 15:47 on 1 October 2011‎

You're right. Only stages 10, 80, 100 and 110 can be set. rpeh •TCE 15:50, 1 October 2011 (UTC)

Clarification[edit]

I feel like this page could use a little more detail about precisely why you can only kick Ranis out of the guild if Itermerel and Tashpi are still alive. Do you have to speak with them and conspire to kick Ranis out? Does the option to accuse Ranis simply appear for no other reason than that they're alive? I'm on the console, so I can't just check, but I've got a character working his way up in the guild. Maybe I'll know in a couple weeks. 67.220.13.11 12:44, 12 July 2013 (GMT)

I would agree that this is interesting information. Feel free to add it if you discover why :) Jeancey (talk) 17:38, 12 July 2013 (GMT)
For anyone wondering, the reason is more than likely that the guild requires evidence of treachery. Ranis is contracted to provide safe escort to Itermerel but simply wanted his notes and attempts to have a "necromancer" killed who is simply a healer who Ranis holds a grudge against. It makes sense that testimony from these two individuals is proof enough for the guild that Ranis is a spy even though she is not. 31.107.13.87 16:06, 19 June 2016 (UTC)

Get Tiram kicked out[edit]

I chose not to lie to Trebonius when I did the quest, and everything went as described here: Trebonius ignoring me and Tiram Gadar warning me not to throw unfounded accusations. When I became Archmage though (through Ocato's letter, not by killing Trebonius), it occured to me that Tiram Gadar had disappeared. When I ask Trebonius about "Telvanni spies", he tells me something like "you seem to have gotten rid of the spy", without explicitely mentioning Tiram Gadar, nor how it happened (no journal entry neither). I think this happens when you become Archmage, but I always rush through Vivec's guild to go to the teleporter so it might have happened earlier. Finally, it remains to be seen if this happens only when you report to Ranis (and, maybe, if you let Trebonius live), or if it always happen when you become Archmage. — Unsigned comment by 92.92.128.70 (talk) at 19:00 on 19 May 2015‎

If you give Tiram's credentials to Ranis he is immediately expelled and disappears from the guild hall. 31.107.13.87 16:09, 19 June 2016 (UTC)

Console command?[edit]

Do anyone know how game check if Itermerel and Tashpi are alive? And if is it possible to change that by console command?

I suppose that it depends on what's the current quest status of their respective quests. If my assumption is correct, then you can use the console to set the correct Journal entry that corresponds to your desired outcome. 181.67.43.141 23:49, 4 March 2024 (UTC)

Locked out of framing Ranis[edit]

I think that it's worth stating in the notes that if you become Arch-mage via Skink's letter, then you get locked out the option to lie about Ranis being the spy. This is because when you ask Trebonius about the Telvanni spy, he will just say something along the lines of "You're the Arch-mage now so you deal with it. Also, Tanis can help you." and he will never offer you the option to frame Ranis. 181.67.43.141 23:49, 4 March 2024 (UTC)
