I have read that too. The fact that it has not been confirmed in at least three revisions of Morrowind Scripting for Dummies, and the fact that my second round of tests has also failed to produce results leads me to doubt that it is possible. I will be happy to be proven wrong, but in three years I have not heard of this verified. So whoever you are that knows how to do this stop holding back and share! :glare:
Maybe this is a bit late to add to an eight year old topic, but by using the "Equip" command it is indeed possible to make the player and NPCs drink potions they have in their inventory, maybe also starting with Tribunal, I'm using the GotY version so I can't tell.--PLRDLF (talk) 03:26, 29 December 2013 (GMT)

Does equip require additem[edit]

What happens when you use the equip function without first using additem? If the item is absent from the character's inventory, does it get added automatically? Chill fridge (talk) 20:51, 12 June 2023 (UTC)

The item will be added if it's not already in the character's inventory, but if there's a script on the item it won't run. In that case you need to use AddItem first, followed by Equip. — Wolfborn(Howl) 03:31, 13 June 2023 (UTC)
