Masalinie Merian is a Breton who serves as guild guide for the Balmora Guild of Mages. In addition to the usual duties of offering quick transport to the other Guild Halls, Masalinie also has a selection of spells for sale. Both of these services are available to fellow Guild members and non-members alike, though naturally those in the Guild will receive a significant discount. She will have a little info for you regarding the Stolen Reports quest, but she is otherwise not involved in any quests.
She is wearing an expensive robe with a matching ring and shoes. Aside from her natural bonus and resistance to magicka, and her ability to shield herself for short periods, she knows a variety of spells, which you can buy from her.
Related Quests[edit]
Mages Guild[edit]
- Stolen Reports: Find Ajira's stolen reports on mushrooms and flowers.
Quest-Related Events[edit]
You can ask Masalinie if she knows where Galbedir put Ajira's reports. She will only answer this question, however, if she finds you trustworthy enough to do so:
- stolen reports
- [Disposition ≥ 60] "I'd only tell someone I trusted... I saw Galbedir come in and take the reports. She put one of them under the dresser in the bedrooms just outside the door. I don't know what she did with the other one."
- [Disposition < 60] "Oh, no! Don't ask me. I didn't see a thing."

- Note that it is pretty much useless, as the only way to catch Corprus disease is part of the Main Quest, and is unavoidable by any means. Also note that the misspelling of "Corprus" is actually seen in the game.
