Tsun is Zenithar

The Notes section says "While Tsun's brother Stuhn entered the Imperial pantheon of the Eight Divines as Stendarr,[1] it's unclear whether Tsun bears any relation with any other cultural aspect of a deity," but I thought Tsun was Zenithar. RearEchelon (talk) 02:20, 22 September 2013 (GMT)

You're going to have to provide a reason why you think this in order for it to be countered or verified. As it stands I don't see anything to back your "Tsun is Zenithar" theory. Silence is Golden^{Break the Silence} 02:35, 22 September 2013 (GMT)

Having researched both topics, I can with certainty state that there's nothing (in-game, at least) to corroborate such a relation. They are both warriors, and both can be loosely associated with overcoming adversity, but that describes a great plethora of warrior gods. Zenithar is a god of restraint, Tsun is one that must be restrained. Zenithar "always win[s]", whereas Tsun was killed in battle and has taken on a role in the next life where it's practically his job to lose. There's nothing to go on here. The chart on the Lore:Gods page lists Tsun as the Nordic version of Zenithar. That whole page is taken from the Varieties of Faith, where Tsun is placed between Orkey and Mara in "THE EIGHT PANTHEONS" section. Zenithar is placed between Arkay and Mara (respectfully) in three other pantheons (Cyrodiil, Yokuda, Bretony) and before Arkay in one (Bosmer). Also, the name Tsun is similar to Z'en and Xen, names for Zenithar. I think there's enough circumstantial evidence to conclude that there exists a connection (also, that bit is in the "Notes" section of the article, and as far as I know, we're allowed to be a bit more liberal with the lore there). In case this isn't enough to establish a connection between them, we should edit the Lore:Gods article instead. -- Kertaw48 (talk) 20:50, 29 March 2014 (GMT)

(←) Tsun IS in the same place as Zenithar, Z'en and Zeht, but also the same as Syrabane, Boethiah, Dibella and ja-Kha'jay.
Being written in the same position doesnt mean being the same deity. They could be sorted by importance or similiar jobs. Sotha Sil is not the same as Magnus but they're both Wisdom and magic god with an architect aspect (But i wouldn't write about in the notes...).

• The altmers Mara ist cyrodiils Kynareth and breton-Zenithar is two gaps to the right. The breton-zenithar is Dibella...
• Vivec is in second place but has no connection to any other deity there. He is unique to the dunmeri pantheon as Tsun is to the nordic.
• Not even the Lorkhans are always in the same gap.

Implication that Tsun fought a prior Dragonborn Hero.

I think it warrants mentioning that in Skyrim, if the player claims to have the right to enter the Hall of Valor by birth as Dragonborn, Tsun will respond: "Ah! It's been too long since last I faced a doom-driven hero of the dragon blood."

This implies that at some unspecified point in the (presumably) distant past another Dragonborn player character (or at least a Hero/Prisoner) had also fought Tsun, which seems like a significant thing to note. --107.161.231.106 02:01, 15 September 2024 (UTC)
