Old Age[edit]

"A few ancient bard texts assert Numinex was particularly foul-tempered because he was extremely old.[3] In these accounts, the dragon spends his final years terrorizing the countryside before flying off to the top of Mount Athor to die in peace, but was interrupted by the opportunistic Olaf.[3]" Well Dragons don't age and don't know mortality according to what we now so that would be very unlikely. --47.64.142.227 20:40, 20 December 2014 (GMT)

This paragraph was copied directly from the book Olaf and the Dragon. We do not know wether he actually was as he was because of old age, but it is said that this is the reason, and we're stating nothing more and nothing less. -- SarthesArai Talk 20:53, 20 December 2014 (GMT)

About the removal of my note on the origins of Numinex' name[edit]

Reason given; Revert two. Speculations

Which I would understand, but I've seen many such speculations in notes sections before, and there's nothing about it in the rules (afaik, I'm new so forgive me if I am wrong). If it was outside of the notes and it suggested that it was a fact that it isnt his real name, or showed no evidence, I would understand, but in this situation, I don't, and think that it is a useful and interesting note, which I've heard many people share before and checked it myself; and yes, it seems to be true, there are no known draconic words that fit into Numinex' name. I, personally, find that interesting. I do not mean to be rude however, I just want a more detailed explanation on what I've done wrong, if I've done something wrong. --Aj (talk) 22:53, 13 August 2015 (UTC)

Several dragons have names that don't translate or even match Skyrim's naming style. It's not particularly noteworthy, and to then assume that Numinex isn't actually the dragon's real name is speculatory. Speculation in general isn't usually welcome on wiki articles, but you might be interested in reading our lore policy on original research for clarification. —Legoless (talk) 23:46, 13 August 2015 (UTC)
Okay, thanks for clearing that up! --Aj (talk) 23:55, 13 August 2015 (UTC)
