Emperor Crab[edit]

Is there any evidence anywhere that there's any conection between the common mudcrab and the Emperor Crab? Otherwise I'd propose a deletion of the latter from this page. -- SarthesArai Talk 15:36, 10 June 2015 (UTC)

None, but I included all crabs here per this discussion, which never really reached a conclusion. —Legoless (talk) 15:41, 10 June 2015 (UTC)
There is this line of dialogue from Neminda regarding mudcrabs: "Of course, as an outlander like myself you must know very little about mudcrabs. They are small creatures with a hard shell. They live mostly along the coast and they're usually not aggressive... but if they ever get the taste of meat, they become hunters. Some naturalists believe they are related to the Emperor Crab." So it seems like at least some people in Tamriel believe that they may be related to one another. Forfeit (talk) 18:10, 10 June 2015 (UTC)
Good find, I'll add that detail to the page for now. —Legoless (talk) 18:20, 10 June 2015 (UTC)

Taking M'aiq "The Liar"'s dialogue as lore?[edit]

Are we really citing M'Aiq's dialogue as a serious suggestion that mudcrabs may have actually controlled Pelagiad in canon?--ThomasTheWest (talk) 23:36, 27 August 2022 (UTC)

Yes. It is an in-universe rumour. Is it likely? About as likely as anything M'Aiq says in Morrowind, which is to say sometimes accurate. I've restored the citation. —Legoless (talk) 17:41, 31 March 2023 (UTC)
