Legend of Red Eagle[edit]

Since new lore mentions Hestra in Skyrim as the Empress who suppressed the ancestors of the Forsworn in the First Era, should that be added to the article now? --Pilaf The Defiler (talk) 22:51, 7 April 2013 (GMT)

Yep. Minor EditsThreatsEvidence 22:54, 7 April 2013 (GMT)

Amulet of Kings[edit]

I`ve changed the paragraph that claimed there had been a sage named Hestra to correctly refer to the Empress being bound to the Amulet of Kings etc. If this is considered unimportant for this article, feel free to remove it. Nymostatic (talk) 17:19, 7 June 2013 (GMT)

It's not that it's unimportant, but it's merely one possibly explanation for the text in "Where Were You..." It could be that the text is simply referring to a different Hestra. Minor EditsThreatsEvidence 17:22, 7 June 2013 (GMT)
Actually, looking at the source more closely, your edit was accurate. The source may be inaccurate or exaggerated, but your edit wasn't. Sorry about that. Minor EditsThreatsEvidence 17:25, 7 June 2013 (GMT)

"A Breton Ruler"[edit]

I'm going to have to strongly disagree with whichever editor made this change to the article. The "Royal Embarrassment" document speaks of the amount of time the Breton families have been in the Empire, not Hestra's race. It's pretty clear from other sources on her that she's a Cyrodiil and that she brought the Bretons into the fold through alliance against the Reach tribes. Pilaf The Defiler (talk) 09:37, 25 June 2014 (GMT)

It was me who added it, but I did admit that I may be mistaken. Previously the race was unknown as none of the other sources were explicit in her race. From how it read to me at the time, it seemed like her race was being referred to, but I see your point. Re-reading some sources, I think there is certainly a stronger argument for her being an Imperial as opposed to Breton, so I'll revert my change. --Jimeee (talk) 10:06, 25 June 2014 (GMT)

Which house did Hestra make barons?[edit]

A recent edit added the information that Hestra made House Montclair barons after she conquered High Rock. This comes from a loading screen from Hildune's Secret Refuge:

"The Montclairs were made barons in 1E 1029 when the Empress Hestra brought High Rock into the First Empire. Northpoint's fortunes have waxed and waned with the ebb and flow of the northwest coastal trade ever since."

The text mentions House Montclair next to Northpoint, which has always been held by House Dorell, not House Montclair. Moreover, the book Northpoint: An Assessment mentions the very same fact:

"In 1E 1029, the Dorells were granted a barony when the Empress Hestra joined High Rock to the First Empire."

with the Dorells, not the Montclairs, being made barons. Can we therefore assume that the mention of House Montclair in the loading screen is an error and change the note to mention House Dorell instead? --Vordur Steel-Hammer (TINV1K) 19:08, 9 January 2016 (UTC)

Well, it's possible that Hestra created multiple baronies in the political upheaval that comes with integrating a new province into the Empire. But I agree that in this case, the loading message is virtually identical to the book, except for the house name being erroneously changed. I agree with updating the note, although it should probably actually be just integrated into the text of the article rather than stuck onto the end as a note. -- Hargrimm(T) 23:04, 9 January 2016 (UTC)
(edit conflict) Is the loading screen directly contradictory to the other sources though? Perhaps both were given baronies, and the Montclairs' power subsequently affected Northpoint at various stages. I think it'd be safe to mention both houses until proven otherwise. —Legoless (talk) 23:05, 9 January 2016 (UTC)
