Medresi Guvron, a cook of the Starsinger Clan

Starsinger Clan was one of numerous clans of Reachfolk that lived in the Cyrodiil during the times of the Longhouse Emperors and in later, after the fall of the dynasty, in the city of Markarth in the Reach during the Second Era.[1][2]

Spilling blood on a feast day was considered a taboo among the Starsingers.[2]

History[edit]

Starsinger Clan was active in the Cyrodiil during the days of the reign of the Emperor Moricar. At some point, an assassin of the unknown allegiance attempted to poison the feast prepared for the clan, but they were killed by Medresi Guvron, a Dunmeri cook hired by the clan, during the attempt. Despite her deeds, the clan members were not grateful, due to their belief that spilling the blood during the feast day is unacceptable.[2]

Following the Varen Aquilarios' rebellion many of the Reachfolk who remained in Cyrodiil were banished from the region. Exact details of the Starsinger Clan's activities during that time were unknown, but the clan survived.[3][4][5]

In 2E 582, the Gray Host descended onto the Reach to search for an ancient artifact of great power. Many of the Reachfolk clans stayed in Markarth at the behest of Ard Caddach.[6][7] The Starsinger Clan were among the clans that inhabited the City of Stone.[1]

At some point, they entered the conflict with the Timberclaw Clan, but as of 2E 582, they made full peace, when Timberclaw Clan's footing with the Skyweaver Clan became more uncertain. Those conflicts and alliances were recorded by one of the city administrators.[1]

Medresi Guvron continued to work as a cook in Markarth.[2] She also became adept at handling the Ragebound steeds.[8][9]
