Order of Arkay
Order of Talos
The Order of Talos was a religious order dedicated to spreading the teaching and worship of Talos. They had close ties to the Blades, and many members of the Blades retired to positions in the order. Weynon Priory was at one time run by the order. The most notable member of the order is, perhaps, Grandmaster Jauffre, who lived at the priory for a time before returning to Cloud Ruler Temple in 3E 433. Following the signing of the White-Gold Concordat, the Blades were formally disbanded and the worship of Talos was banned in the Empire. As such, it could be assumed that the Order of Talos is no longer in existence.
Order of the Black Worm
The Order of the Black Worm is the cult led by Mannimarco which is devoted to necromancy. Those outside the Order sometimes call it the Cult of the Black Worm or the Worm Cult, although the organization was officially known as the Fellowship of Anchorites during its brief Imperial charter. Being the most infamous practitioners of necromancy, they are colloquially known as The Necromancers. While Vanus Galerion formed his Mages Guild in the early Second Era, Mannimarco secretly formed the Order in its shadows. Their many dark accomplishments include the great battle where Galerion was killed, aiding the forces of Molag Bal during the Planemeld, and numerous plots against the Mages Guild, including an attempt during the Oblivion Crisis which resulted in the apparent death of Mannimarco. Members and servants of the cult are often branded with a black pentagram, to symbolize the damnation of their souls.
Order of the Candle
The Order of the Candle have replaced the Knights of the Moon as the official protectors and warriors of the Kingdom of Sentinel. In Sentinel, the Order is treated with high respect. Only skilled men and women with high loyalty to the royal family of Sentinel will be able to join the Order.
Order of the Diagna
The Order of Diagna is one of the many knightly orders in the Hammerfell area. It is devoted to the Redguard deity Diagna, "Orichalc God of the Sideways Blade". The Order was chiefly involved in the invasion of Orsinium, which lasted for thirty years. The leader of the order, Gaiden Shinji, was killed during the siege. Initiates wishing to join the Order must play the part of the Orcs in their annual recreation of the Siege of Orsinium.
Order of the Dragon
The Order of the Dragon is an order of knights originally founded by Tiber Septim. Throughout the Empire's history, there have been seven champions of this order, with the seventh being the Champion of Cyrodiil.
Order of the Eye
The Order of the Eye was a group of researchers working within the Mages Guild in the Second Era. During the Planemeld, they were charged with researching the unexpected effects of the phenomenon. One particular task was the retrieval of various relics attributed to Sheogorath from across Tamriel and beyond, which became displaced during this time.
Order of the Hour
The Order of the Hour is the military arm of the Akatosh Chantry, charged with its protection. The knights are devoted to the Great Dragon, and dedicated to the promise of stability and permanence that He represents. An initiate in the Order has the same rights and honors as an initiate in the Chantry.
During mid-Second Era, the Order of the Hour took up a significant position in Kvatch. The Primate of the Order in Kvatch gained more power in Kvatch, locking Count Carolus Aquilarios of Kvatch and the Order of the Hour in a power struggle. In the Gold Coast at this time, the Order took up arms against the Dark Brotherhood, culminating in the deaths of many Brotherhood assassins, many members of the Order of the Hour, and Primate Artorius himself.
Order of the Lamp
The Order of the Lamp, sometimes called the Lamp Knights, was an order of knights that acted as the protectors of the Mages Guild. It was formed a year after the Mages Guild itself was formed, as hired guards were not enough to protect the guild in dangerous territories. Its members were organized under the Palatinus, who was commanded directly by the Archmagister. They were given appropriate rights to certain services of the Mages Guild. A knight's rank within the Order approximated the individual's rank within the Guild, in terms of rights and privileges. The Order only recruited those who had already demonstrated fighting skills and were in good standing with the Mages Guild. A contingent of the order was led by Vanus Galerion to confront Mannimarco and they participated in the resulting battle. After he became Archmagister, Hannibal Traven commanded the Order of the Lamp to arrest Magister Ulliceta gra-Kogg of Orsinium for necromancy but she escaped. The current status of the Order in the aftermath of the collapse of the Mages Guild is unknown.
Order of the Lily
Order of the Raven
In all modesty, the Order of the Raven is a legendary fighting order. They have the honor of having led the battle against the Camoran Usurper and freed half of Tamriel from his tyranny. They remain the vanguards of the Barony of Dwynnen, protecting the entire region. Given their reputation, they cannot admit any but the greatest warriors, the most loyal servants of the Baron, into their order.
Order of the Scarab
The Knights of the Scarab is a knightly order serving as the official guard for the royal family of Totambu in Northern Hammerfell. Only the most refined and loyal warriors of the region are considered for initiation. Typically initiates must travel to the Dwemer ruins on the island of Stros M'Kai and "wrestle its mechanical men back into shape" before they can join the Knights of the Scarab.
Order of the Silver Dawn
Formed in 2E 428 during the Curse of the Crimson Moon, at a time when werewolves were prevalent in High Rock. They believe werewolves to be cursed and have sworn to eradicate them across Tamriel. Shortly before 2E 583, the Order's stronghold and research base of Moon Hunter Keep in Reaper's March was overrun by a horde of werewolves lead by Vykosa, one of the first ever to be afflicted with lycanthropy by Hircine. Vykosa and her pack were defeated with the help of the Undaunted in 2E 583, allowing the Silver Dawn to complete development of a cure for lycanthropy.
Order of the Virtuous Blood
The Ordinators (sometimes called Temple Ordinators) are the holy guards and priest-soldiers of the Tribunal Temple. They are divided into four distinct orders. The Order of the Watch provides guards for temples and shrines, and additionally act as town guards in Temple-owned settlements such as Vivec City. They are responsible with enforcing Temple law, along with Imperial law following the Armistice. The Order of War fights the enemies of the Temple, with most War Ordinators traditionally stationed near Red Mountain to combat the forces of the Sixth House. The Order of the Inquisition identifies and suppresses heresy among priests and laymen within the Temple. The Order of Doctrine and Ordination are militant scholars.
The ranks of the Ordinators are primarily drawn from House Indoril, whose influence can be seen in their distinctive style of armor. They are the rivals of the more light-hearted Buoyant Armigers. All four orders obey the commands of the Alma Rula, stationed in the city of Almalexia. The High Ordinators are the finest and most zealous of the Ordinators, chosen to serve as the protectors of Mournhold. They replaced the Hands of Almalexia and the Order of the Watch as the guards of Mournhold some time after the Alliance War. It is unknown what became of the Ordinators after the rise of the New Temple.
The Indoril armor worn by the Ordinators is forbidden from use by non-Ordinators in certain parts of Morrowind, as they will be marked for death under Temple law. The armor is medium weight, highly protective, usually dark golden, and consists of a distinctive face mask which serves to identify those who wear it as guards. The uniform worn by the High Ordinators is white and blue rather than gold-colored, and matches that worn by the Hands of Almalexia (although without the divine enchantments received by the Hands). When operating in dark conditions, Ordinators don black Night-Raid armor as camouflage.
