Doryanna Flyte was a Bosmer noble from the late Third Era. She was the wife of Lord Auberon Flyte, the ruler of Anticlere after the War of Betony. When Lord Flyte became bedridden, Doryanna governed in his stead and quickly used her influence to hold complete power over the region.[1]

Doryanna's origins are unknown, but she was present when Auberon Flyte became the Lord of Anticlere and was instrumental in implementing his authoritative demands by coercing councilors and merchants. After meeting with an Argonian ambassador, Auberon became inflicted with the Guedoilic Plague and unable to leave his bed, he gave Doryanna his seal and authority to rule for him. Immediately, she replaced the previous court of older people with younger, handsome men. This decision was supported by Auberon Flyte, who believed his wife would never act unfaithful.[1]

Some of these new members were Farrington and Lord Quistley, her advisors.[2][3] Several of the Knights of the Flame's dimmer but better looking knights were made Doryanna's personal guards.[4]:100 Perwright, the Mayor of Anticlere's capital disapproved of Doryanna's new power but feared repercussions by telling Auberon.[1] Rumors were spreading at the time that Doryanna was consorting with the imprisoned guildmaster of Anticlere's Thieves Guild, and that she participated in midnight raids across the region's highways while in disguise.[1]
