Dhaunayne Aundae was an Altmer vampire ancient and the matriarch of the Aundae Clan. One of her spies was stationed in Prince Hlaalu Helseth's court. One of the spy's reports to their Dark Liege was found and published by Helseth and his mother, Barenziah. The report suggests that Dhaunayne Aundae had a measure of influence within House Dres.[1]

When she was mortal, she had a family, which once settled around Sadrith Mora. Her mortal family was highborn, even among the Altmer. Her vampiric sire killed her mortal husband, but allowed Dhaunayne's son Vilandon to live. After she became a vampire, she abandoned her family.[2] Vilandon, thinking his mother was slain by the vampire who killed his father, dedicated his life to being a vampire hunter. Vilandon lived to sire his own children, who turned out Dhaunayne's great grandson, Sinyaramen. Vilandon Aundae was killed by a vampire named Kjeld.[3] Dhaunayne was unaware of what became of her family after she turned, and asked a fledgling vampire to investigate in 3E 427. When the news arrived that her son was killed by Kjeld of the Quarra Clan, she promptly ordered his death.[2]

The Aundae Clan attracted the attention of a Dunmeri vampire hunter by the name of Ano Vando, who sought information on the clan's whereabouts in the city of Ald'ruhn. Dhaunayne Aundae tasked the new blood with murdering the hunter in front of witnesses in broad daylight, so that his death could serve as an example to those who sought to meddle with the Aundae Clan.[4]

What became of Dhaunayne is unknown, but by 4E 201, the vampire Garan Marethi claimed to have links to the Aundae clan, though no one has ever confirmed them.[5]

Her clan notably turned Galur Rithari sometime by 2E 582 while aggressively attempting to reclaim Bal Ur, a location important to their vampiric heritage.[6]
