Chapter 2: The Escape[edit]

The Escape is the second chapter of Legends, and the second part of Act 1. You and Tyr work together to fight against your captors, a group of Boethiah cultists, to escape the arena.

The Escape introduces the Shadow Lane, Magicka, Summon Abilities, and Actions.

The match begins with the narrator explaining how to play your cards with magicka: "You will use Magicka to play your cards." You are first and need to play Fiery Imp, the only card with a cost of 1 magicka in your hand, while the concepts of lanes is explained: "Creatures played to a Shadow lane gain Cover for a turn. Creatures with Cover can't be attacked." The Boethiah Cultists play Acolyte of Boethiah to contest your Fiery Imp. At the start of your turn, you are told that: "You magicka increases by one each turn." From now on you need to play cards until your magicka is depleted and attack with all your creatures. On turn 4, you draw a Valenwood Huntsman and you need to "Summon Valenwood Huntsman to take out your opponent's creature." However, you do not have to follow the instructions, as long as you keep playing cards and attack with your creatures. On turn 5 you will draw Crushing Blow and are told that "Actions provide one-shot abilities." You can now continue the game without any more instructions.
