As this book features an alphabetical style, the German translation of the game had to change the beasts to suit the language and accommodate the alphabetical stylization.

A steht für Alit, Echse auf zwei Beinen,
So ein Unterbiss muss weh tun, möchte man meinen.

B steht für Bär, ein zottliger Gesell,
Bergab ist er langsam, bergauf aber schnell.

C steht für Chaurus, Schneekäfer groß,
Bitte nicht streicheln, sonst seid die Hand Ihr los!

D steht für Dünenbrecher, im Wüstengrab,
Nagt im Schlaf deine Beine dir ab.

E steht für Eisgeist, der weiß, was Bescheid heißt,
Den Zeitgeist beizeiten ganz dreist mal beiseit' reißt.

F steht für Fledermaus, flinker Gesell,
Macht keinen Unterschied zwischen dunkel und hell.

G steht für Goblin, die gibt's überall,
Zünd ihren Pups an, dann gibt's einen Knall.

H steht für Horker, hoch droben im Eis,
Mögen's gern kühl und nur ungern sehr heiß.

I steht für Irrlicht, mal hier, mal weg,
Lass dich nicht locken, sonst stirbst du im Dreck.

J steht für Jaguar, im Urwald versteckt,
Wurde bisher noch niemals entdeckt.

K steht für Kwama, leben in Morrowind,
Graben sich durch die Erde. Weiß jedes Kind.

L steht für Lamie, die Schlangenvettel,
Hat Kinder auf dem Speisezettel.

M steht für Mammut, kuschlig und schwer,
Stapft in Herden hinter Riesen her.

N steht für Nixhund, jagt im Käferrudel,
Ihr Fleisch schmeckt gut zu frischem Strudel.

O steht für Oger, dumm wie ne Laus,
Doch lass dich nicht fangen, sonst heißt es Garaus.

P steht für Pferd, stattlich und schlau,
Doch der Waldelf an sich bevorzugt die Sau.

R steht für Rabe, Nocturnals Gefährte,
Erzählt gern Geschichten, pointenbewehrte!

S steht für Schlange, sie schlängelt geschwind
Versteckt im Gebüsch bespäht sie das Kind.

T steht für Troll, Re-ge-ne-ra-tion,
Kompliziertes Wort. Finde ich schon.

U steht für Untoter, Sklaven, die schweigen,
Das Ende naht, wenn aus dem Grab sie steigen.

V steht für Vampir, mit spitzem Zahn
Zapft er dir die Gurgel an.

W steht für Werwolf, Hircines Gesandte,
Huch! Ein Wolf! Grad war's noch die Tante!

X steht für Xivilai, daedrischer Meuchler,
Halb immun gegen Zauber, der alte Heuchler.

Y steht für des Yokudaners Ross, gebaut wie ein Schiff
Beliebt bei Rittern als Schlachtross mit Pfiff.

Z steht für Zombie – war klar, dass die kommen
Lauf so schnell du kannst, sonst wirst du mitgenommen!

B stands for bear, a shaggy fellow,
It's slow going downhill, but fast going uphill.

C stands for Chaurus, snow beetle large,
Please don't stroke, otherwise you'll lose your hand!

D stands for dune breaker, in the desert grave,
Eats your legs while you sleep.

E stands for ice spirit, who knows what it means,
Brazenly tossing the spirit of the times aside at the right time.

F stands for bat, nimble fellow,
Makes no difference between dark and light.

G stands for Goblin, they are everywhere,
Light her fart and there'll be a bang.

H stands for Horker, high up in the ice,
They like it cool and don't like it very hot.

I stands for will-o'-the-wisp, sometimes here, sometimes gone,
Don't be tempted or you'll die in the dirt.

J stands for Jaguar, hidden in the jungle,
