Mannimarco?[edit]

Color me dense, but I don't recall ever seeing the name Mannimarco in Daggerfall. Throughout the entire game he is referred to as the "King of Worms". Shouldn't that convention be maintained? Marstinson 20:43, 19 October 2008 (EDT)

Mannimarco may be justified because it seems, that on this site Mannimarco and the King of Worms are regarded as one and the same person, see for example the Lore article. And whoever wrote this walkthrough, used this assumption probably as well. Since the book Mannimarco, King of Worms uses this name for the KoW and there is no evidence that there has ever been more than one KoW, it may be justified to call the KoW also Mannimarco, even he is never called Mannimarco in Daggerfall.--PLRDLF 16:06, 20 October 2008 (EDT)
Even if they are the same person, the Daggerfall pages should use the name that appears in Daggerfall. Just as Summerset Isle should be spelled "Summurset" on Arena and Daggerfall pages, because that was the standard in those games (see UESPWiki:Spelling). Sticking to the game's specific conventions on that game's pages ensures that players who have only ever played Daggerfall will still understand the walkthroughs. In this quest's case, it seems particularly confusing since both names are used interchangeably on the page without ever explaining that the two names refer to the same person. For consistency and clarity, it would seem far better to choose one name and use it exclusively. If someone can confirm that King of Worms is the only name used in Daggerfall (or, as far as this quest page is concerned, the only name used in this quest), I'd support changing Mannimarco to King of Worms. --NepheleTalk 19:35, 24 October 2008 (EDT)
I don't know whether Mannimarco was called the King of Worms in the game or whether he was just Mannimarco. However, I think I remember knowing he was Mannimarco before I had played Morrowind or even before Oblivion was released. This is something I'd need to use a Daggerfall hax thing for. --Timmeh Talk 00:05, 25 October 2008 (EDT)
I am currently playing through Daggerfall, and just did this quest. The name "Mannimarco" has not appeared to me thus far, so it's use in this article was at first a bit confusing. The NPCs name and all quest text refer to him as the King of Worms. Morg 16:50, 1 November 2008 (EDT)

However, that mention isn't tied at all to this quest, and even implies that Mannimarco is no longer alive. So it seems possible that when Daggerfall was created, the King of Worms was not considered to be the same person as Mannimarco. Therefore, I've changed the article to only use the name that appears during the quest, namely King of Worms. --NepheleTalk 21:58, 9 November 2008 (EST)

Walkthrough[edit]

There are two pieces of information in the deteiled walkthrough that seem conjecture to me: "...Her own letter is an agreement to give the King of Worms her "first" (no, it's not her firstborn child) if he will arrange for her to be married to the King of Firsthold...." Where is it stated that it is not her firstborn?

"This sets up part of the story for the sequel to Daggerfall. Therefore, no more will be said of it." What sequel? -Meisterdieb 22:30, 2 August 2010 (UTC)

The jump is to far...[edit]

I'm having a bit of a problem with this tomb... whenever I jump down one of the two caskets with the tunnel inside it, I die when I hit the bottom... do anyone know why? — Unsigned comment by 83.94.246.228 (talk) at 13:08 on 11 February 2011 (UTC)

Because you dont have enough health ? Haha can I recommend that you get a slowfall or levitate spell ? -Mog

Help[edit]

The princess wont talk to me when I return with her letter ... can anyone inform me why ? -Mog

When you are using the latest patch (v2.13) AND are still within the quest's time limit (30 days) you should not have any problems. Probably at least one of these two conditions does not apply for your character.--PLRDLF (talk) 19:16, 9 January 2013 (GMT)
Hmm I definatly completed the quest in less than 30 days, and I am definatly on the latest patch, I just dont understand, is there any way I can restart the quest ? -Mog

Receiving the Letter[edit]

Is there some kind of condition that must be met before Morgiah's letter will arrive, or does it simply arrive after a random period of time? I've been through a few characters and I've never gotten the letter before (usually having to restart due to poor saving discipline) but it suddenly just appeared for me at the same time as Lady Brisienna's letter after a particularly long and brutal dungeon crawl. Crawldragon (talk) 07:26, 12 July 2016 (UTC)

You need to reach level 3 (and not be off in a dungeon somewhere) before you receive both Morgiah and Lady Brisienna's letters. You don't always get a notice of delivery (or you get one for the other letter and end up with two), and it might help to sleep in an inn. Then they magically appear in your inventory, very possibly at the same time. You just need to keep checking your inventory. Echo (talk) 14:16, 12 July 2016 (UTC)
