A painting in Daggerfall

Paintings are a type of miscellaneous item found in Daggerfall.

To view a painting, click on it in your inventory with "Info" selected; it will display a random image with a random name for the artist. Paintings weigh 5 kilograms and generally have a value around 1000 gold.

  • Paintings are not commonly found as random loot in dungeons, but seem to appear with some regularity inside banks.[verification needed — frequency] They can also sometimes be found for sale at pawn shops.
  • Being miscellaneous items, paintings can only be sold at pawn shops.
