So how come some items have a weight of '1' and others of '1.0' That '2.5' needs a decimal is obvious, but why make one item 'approximately' 1 unit heavy and others 'between 0.95 and 1.05' units heavy? is this also shown in-game or is it just an inconsistency? — Unsigned comment by Korunox (talkcontribs)

My guess is that this is basically just the type of inconsistency that occurs when different editors create different pages. Internally, all of the weights are just 4-byte float variables with the same precision, --NepheleTalk 03:51, 23 February 2008 (EST)
ooooh, perhaps something for me to do if I get bored,, and have the time to.. and am in the mood to... Well, perhaps my first small project can wait for a while;) - Korunox 18:54, 23 February 2008 (EST)
It gets weirder on some items which have 2 decimal places, e.g. 1.25 or something. Not sure if there are any of those in Oblivion, but there definitely are in Morrowind. Generally, site policy is to use 1.0 rather than 1, and so any pages you see which omit the decimal should be fixed to maintain site consistency. --TheRealLurlock Talk 19:20, 23 February 2008 (EST)
I will add the decimals on Items when needed;) I usuall just go around the Oblivion pages so you might notice some of those changes sometime soon;) - Korunox 19:24, 23 February 2008 (EST)
