Possible incorrect info on the GOTYE book[edit]

My copy of the GOTYE guide doesn't include all of the downloads, it includes most of them, but not anything on the Fighter's Stronghold DLC. The book also doesn't have "Detailed maps for every part of the world and every major city, plus special maps for every key section of the main quest." it actually seems to be entirely missing the maps on the different regions of the original game and all of the city maps. Maps dealing with quest locations are included in those portions, as is maps dealing with the DLC that is included in the book, but despite some of the text of the guide referring to the map chapter, there isn't a map chapter for the original game. I know where it should be from the original version of the guide, but rather than that chapter it instantly skips the the information about the Shivering Isles DLC. --Dragos Drakkar (talk) 04:57, 31 August 2016 (UTC)

Fighter's Stronghold only came out a month after this edition was published, so that would explain its absence. —Legoless (talk) 05:51, 31 August 2016 (UTC)
Even more reason for the features of the book to not say "Covers all available content for Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, Shivering Isles, Knights of the Nine, and downloadable content." since it couldn't cover all of the official content for the game. --Dragos Drakkar (talk) 18:30, 31 August 2016 (UTC)
Well, it covered all downloadable content at the time of release so the claim itself isn't too bad, but the absence of Fighter's Stronghold should definitely still be noted. —Legoless (talk) 20:51, 31 August 2016 (UTC)
Noticed this now: all of the information under the GOTYE on the page here is just copied straight off of the back cover of the book itself. --Dragos Drakkar (talk) 19:29, 4 September 2016 (UTC)

Incorrect Info[edit]

There are a few errors in the attribute section of my copy of the GOTY version of this guide. — Unsigned comment by 174.60.205.4 (talk) at 13:58 on 1 August 2021

Yes, the game guides are known to include incorrect information as they are based on pre-released versions of the game, which contain assets since changed or removed in the final release. I was planning on creating a page dedicated to all of the errors found in the guides (example) but never got round to it. --Rezalon (talk) 04:48, 27 August 2021 (UTC)
