Quintus Ambivio

Quintus Ambivio is an Imperial bard who can be randomly encountered in the wilderness along with his long-suffering bodyguard.

Quintus wears Colovian fine clothes, fine boots and a gold necklace, and carries a copy of The Lusty Argonian Maid, v2 and a red apple.

When coming across him, he will pause:

"No... perhaps....yes! Yes! You shall be the inspiration for my new character... the... the Vagabond!"

Pardon: "Awestruck by my presence, yes? Many are."
Who are you: "Haha, another master thespian, I see! That was an excellent portrayal of the 'dumbstruck plebian'!"
Who are you calling a vagabond: "Ah, who else but you, dear traveler? You, who will soon be immortalized, by me!"

Before continuing:

"It is I, Quintus Ambivio, master thespian, darling of the Nirn Theater, the man of many faces, himself! Err... no autographs."
Nirn Theater
"Yes, the Nirn Theater. The center stage of the Imperial City... of the world! And they cast me out! The irredeemable fools! Ah... it would be unaccommodating of me to expect cretins such as them to understand my work. Although, after the.. incident... with Classius Curio, perhaps it's for the best I don't return for a while."
Classius Curio
"Mm. Classius Curio. The patron of the Nirn Theater, the head of the Emperor's Men acting troupe. Hmph. Evidently his family's renowned playwriting ability didn't quite reach him. I tell you, his renown - entirely unearned! A farce! Someone should teach that cretin a lesson. Mm. Perhaps I shall do so. Sadly, I cannot. Not yet. I've not yet become one with the 'Vagabond', much less the 'Overrated Playwright Spanker'! So, no. Not quite yet. But one day! And soon!"

If you ask where he is going, he confides:

"Here, there and everywhere, my travel-worn friend! Castle to castle, palace to palace... all the world is my stage! Well. Mostly I just perform for bored nobles for patronage. I miss the crowds, uncouth and uncultured as they were..."

If you then ask if he can teach you acting, he chuckles:

"Haha! Sorry, friend, I must've misheard you. Did you say... 'teach you'? About 'acting'? I don't 'teach', nor do I 'act'. I am a master of my craft! I live my characters! But, I suppose I could share something. Acting, like politics, is about honesty. Fake honesty, and you'll do just fine."

This will then increase your Speech skill by 1.

His poor bodyguard doesn't seem to have much time for Quintus:

"Self-important idiot... I had to rescue him from bandits once after he approached them to 'get in their mindset'."
"Every day, I hear a new soliloquy."
"You know he tried comedy once? Just a stream of puns. It was horrible."
