Salms Othralen on board The Shining Topal in Leyawiin Harbour

Salms Othralen is a Dark Elf savant who is a sailor aboard The Shining Topal, a ship currently moored in the Leyawiin Harbour

Since the ship is in port, Salms has little to do. He sleeps from 11pm to 9am, gets up and eats breakfast for two hours, and spends the rest of the day tending to his duties aboard the ship. During the Rangers Guild quest Wood on the Waves, he can be found on deck when you go to the island.

He wears a coarse linen shirt, laced leather pants, and oiled linen shoes; he carries a copy of Azura and the Box, a pot pie, a large amount of gold, and a loaf of bread.

Salms has a cabin near the ship's stern, on the mid deck. It has nothing more than a bed and a barrel of clutter.

Like his fellow sailors, Salms is anxious to get back to sea: "I swear, being holed up in this ship all day is driving me insane! I just want to burn the damn thing down and dance on the ashes!"
