Redirects

Sorry, but I'm really not sure why you just added |{{PAGENAME}} to a few dozen redirects on the site. Adding a label to a redirect does absolutely nothing. If you would explain what you were hoping to accomplish, it would at least help me to know what to do with your edits. At the moment, they're likely to all get undone, because the edits did nothing except make the pages longer. --Nephele^Talk 22:11, 16 April 2009 (EDT)

Having just noticed this edit, I'm guessing perhaps you meant to add |{{PAGENAME}} to the category on the page instead of to the redirect. However, even that is unnecessary because of some wiki code changes that were implemented on the site last week: the default category sorting now uses SORTABLECORENAME (Help:Magic Words), which is actually preferable to PAGENAME. If your edits appeared to fix the page placement in the category, it's purely coincidental -- your edits simply forced the page to refresh for the first time since the wiki code changes were implemented. I'm going to assume that's what you were trying to accomplish with your edits, and undo them all, because the text you added was inserted into the wrong place on the page. --Nephele^Talk 22:23, 16 April 2009 (EDT)

If I am correctly understanding what you are saying about redirects, then I would suggest that the page UESPWiki:Categories be changed. It indicates that a |{{PAGENAME}} is the desired way to link categories. (I did link the wrong part of those pages.)Mstefaniak 19:20, 17 April 2009 (EDT)
