Thank YOU!![edit]

no,no,no thank you for putting my character in a chapter oh you can name him anything you want but i call him lord Cody one question though. what chapter is he gonna be in Thedrunknord 17:54, 31 January 2010 (UTC)

Lord Cody will do :), I am thinking about putting him into the story, just before the great battle for Bruma so that he (and some of his "unnamed" men) have time to prepare and join in the battle. Is that ok? - Goblin lair 18:58, 3 February 2010

Sure! im just happy im in the story--Thedrunknord 00:59, 9 February 2010 (UTC)

Thanks a lot Thedrunknord! Now this is what's making writing fanfic worth the time :D, people enjoying it! - Goblin lair 18:39, 3 February 2010

Your mod question[edit]

To add the "join" option to someone click them with the console active and then use the console command AddTopic "Topic ID". By the way can you help me with translating Daedric back and forth ?--TheAlbinoOrc 23:30, 7 February 2010 (UTC)

Thanks! :)
Shure, what do you need translated? -Goblin lair 14:12, 7 February 2010
Mostly I just need a Daedric to English alphabet.--TheAlbinoOrc 23:30, 7 February 2010 (UTC)
You can go here and there is a external link to another pushbutton-style translator at the bottom if you need it.--Corevette789 23:34, 7 February 2010 (UTC)
Thanks, now I just need to start translating my character names.--TheAlbinoOrc 00:38, 8 February 2010 (UTC)
Oops, it seems I spoke (well, wrote anyway) too soon I actually do need you to translate my characters names.--TheAlbinoOrc 00:51, 8 February 2010 (UTC)
I'm pretty fluent, shoot.--Corevette789 00:53, 8 February 2010 (UTC)
They're, on my user-page go ahead. (Thanks, by the way)--TheAlbinoOrc 23:18, 8 February 2010 (UTC)
I don't have the font I know the names and shapes. I've tried to download the font several times and it just dosen't work for my word processor.--Corevette789 00:14, 9 February 2010 (UTC)
That could be a problem in theory you could make your own set of images in for example Paintshop Pro 8 (although others could be used that's simply the one that I'm farmiliar with) but that's a lot of trouble to go through just to do one user-page out of goodwill.--TheAlbinoOrc 20:21, 9 February 2010 (UTC)

Well, I also would love to use it even after that but progects like these would be great to use it for too.--Corevette789 20:32, 9 February 2010 (UTC)

In that case making the letters in an image program then uploading them to a sandbox sounds like the best option to me.--TheAlbinoOrc 20:39, 9 February 2010 (UTC)
Wow, that took about a week and still nothing I use a word processor called Open Office 3.1 and it is unheard of my me and I can't use it to upload the images from the sandbox. It seems like it operates from the internet, like not actually saved as a program--Corevette789 16:50, 12 February 2010 (UTC)
Do you need to use the word processor or could you just put the letters directly on whatever page you're translating ?--TheAlbinoOrc 18:04, 12 February 2010 (UTC)

To Goblin[edit]

I named a section in the mod I'm making after your username, you mind ?--TheAlbinoOrc 23:38, 8 February 2010 (UTC)

Nope, thats just fine with me. :) -Goblin lair 17:41, 9 February 2010
So any specific lighting or anything you'd like to have in it ? Also should it be consistent with the Abagarlas or are goblin enchants ok ?--TheAlbinoOrc 19:47, 9 February 2010 (UTC)
Eum... you may do as you think is good I suppose... so you are creating a lair, where you may encounter goblins, called "the goblin lair"? That's just fine with me. The rest should be up to you since it's your mod :) ... unless you are going to publish the mod... in that case you might should consider using another name... :S- Goblin lair 15:37, 10 February 201
Actually the cell is part of something larger it's called Janziar Ruins, Goblin Lair, and the other stuff goes it looks good now as far as I can tell, not sure how to publish it though but it probably doesn't matter right now since it's still in progress.--TheAlbinoOrc 18:40, 10 February 2010 (UTC)
Well in that case it's ok... I only had to make shure :) - Goblin lair 20:19, 10 February 2010

Couple of Questions[edit]

What does the Path Grid editing function do ? and with this leveled list will my chance of getting a goblin bruiser be higher than that of getting a goblin footsoldier or not ?

The Path Grid editing function is used to assist "lokal" moving AI with pre-arranged "tracks". It allows you to add and remove special points and between them, you may put these tracks and on them the AI will walk (good use in towns and cities). And I suppose yes, a majority of goblin bruisers in the list should result in a greater chance of meeting one of them. -Goblin lair 16:08, 10 February 2010
As far as the leveled list goes good thanks for the confirmation (I thought it would work but I wanted to make sure it wouldn't simply adjust the chance of getting a bruiser to be equal), thanks for explaining the Path Grid, I'm going to play around with it for a while see if I can figure it out once I finish on the population for the Mournhold Goblins.--TheAlbinoOrc 18:40, 10 February 2010 (UTC)
Glad that I could be of help :) -Goblin lair 20:20, 10 February 2010

Thanks[edit]

Your welcome!--TheAlbinoOrc 15:05, 11 February 2010 (UTC)

Oops[edit]

It seems the path grid editor isn't easy to figure out how do I use now I know what it's for ?--TheAlbinoOrc 21:05, 11 February 2010 (UTC)

Argh, two seconds after I post this I right click in the CS accidentally and, poof! path piece pops up.--TheAlbinoOrc 21:13, 11 February 2010 (UTC)
Actually I do still need help I don't know how to make these work. (sorry about cluttering your talk page by the way). Also do you know who could help with the spelling/grammar in the story I'm working on ?--TheAlbinoOrc 21:18, 11 February 2010 (UTC)
How to use the Path Grid function:

Placing Grid points: Right click on a floor type area to create a grid point. These are places where NPC's will stand in between 'walk' instructions.

Moving grid points: Left click and hold the drag the point around.

Deleting a grid point: Select the unwanted grid point press the 'delete' key on your keyboard.

Connecting points: Once you have two or more grid points you can connect them. Select one endpoint of the connection. Hold the ctrl key left click on the other end of the desired connection. NPC's will walk down these connections between grid points when their AI tells them to walk.

Disconnecting points: Select a point at one end of the unwanted connection. Hold Ctrl and left click on the point at the other end of the unwanted connection. Note: This is the same procedure as creating a connection.

Red points: The red grid points you may see in preexisting cells are just the ones made by bethesda. If you press the 'generate default grid' button, they will also be red. There's nothing special about them.

Saving: Go back to that little box that poped up when you started the editor. Make sure the 'Save user points' check box is checked and then click 'save'.

Hope this will help you :) - Goblin lair 17:32, 12 February 2010
Thanks! it was very helpful.

Another Question[edit]

How exactly would I publish any of the mods I'm working on ? (very sorry to bug you/clutter your talk page)--TheAlbinoOrc 03:01, 25 February 2010 (UTC)

Well, you could publish it on a mod site. You would probably have to register a user on that page first though... you could allways try to ask on the Tes4Mod talk page. (haven't published any mods myself, even though I have created many...) --Goblin lair 09:23, 25 February 2010

Question Once Again[edit]

This time I'm trying to figure out how to use the region editing function.--TheAlbinoOrc 17:40, 13 May 2010 (UTC)

Ok, the region editor is used by first klicking "world" and then "regions", but I assume you allready know that...
If you want to create a new region press the "new" button, then write the id you want for the region and press "ok".
Now you got a new region id!
Choose your Id in the window above the "new" button by just klicking the Id when you find it. Then you can add the "visible" name to the region (the name you will see in-game) in the window next to "name".
Underneath the "name" window there is something called sleep creature. With this window you can add creatures that may attack you while you're asleep outdoors in your region.
Under the "new" button, there is 10 small windows in which you add infomation about how often the weather will be nice or whatever... there is a maximum of 100 "points" so if you add 75 to rain, then it means there is 75% chance that it will be raining in your region.
In the big window to the right, you can add different sound effects that you want to be heard in your region. The list of all sounds can be found at the top of your screen to the right in the "top-screen" tool bar by pressing the little speaker icon. Then you simply drag the sound effects you want to the big window. When you have added the sound to the list you can choose the possibility for the sound and then the priority (for when two sound effects have the same possibilities then the one with the lowest number in priority will be used).
Now to put your region on the map!
in the lower left corner of the "REGIONS" window there is a box called "region map color". Choose a color for your region either by typing numers in the windows to the left or by pressing the "select color" button. To add your region to the map, press the "region paint" button. Now a map should appear to the left and a list of all regions and colors to the right (one of them should be yours). on the map, there is a number of white squares, those squares are the regions that you have been in that doesn't belong to any of the "old" regions. By holding the arrow on the squares you can see their coordinates and names under the map. Then click the squares in which your creation is located. (make shure you only paint the regions that you have edited so that nothing gets wrong ;)
When all you want to paint is painted then press "done" and then "ok" in the "REGIONS" window and... you're done!
This should be a good time to save!
Hope this helped! :) -- Goblin lair 12:38, 14 May 2010
Thanks !!!--TheAlbinoOrc 00:07, 15 May 2010 (UTC)
It's worth noting that if you leave the render window blank (The default state before you choose a cell to edit) the map is blank also.--TheAlbinoOrc 00:17, 15 May 2010 (UTC)
No problems! Glad I could help! :D -- Goblin lair 17:15, 15 May 2010

welcomeing?[edit]

hi! i was just wondering how you welcomed so many people in such a short time? thanks!--GUM!!! 16:51, 14 May 2010 (UTC)

Well that's easy... I started with the first one, made some changes to the wellcoming message so that the only thing missing was the new users name and the current time. Then, before I added the username and time I copied everything so that I got some sort of template. Then I added the name, time and title, made a quick preview, saved and moved on to the next one, where I only had to write the title, the name and the time... well it's either that, or I'm really good ;) - Goblin lair 18:59, 14 May 2010
i've come to the concluson that...you're just really good!--GUM!!! 13:54, 18 May 2010 (UTC)
All you guys care about is getting edits and going up on the active users list you are sad Arny 13:57, 18 May 2010 (UTC)
Hey! That's neither nice nor true. :( -Goblin lair 16:01, 18 May 2010
lol I was just joking sry Arny 14:02, 18 May 2010 (UTC)
It's ok :) --Goblin lair 16:04, 18 May 2010
and any ways if that was true (wich it isn't) i would ask pointless question like"where's the x key on my keybored"--GUM!!! 14:06, 18 May 2010 (UTC)
Shadow hide the hunter Arny 16:40, 18 May 2010 (UTC)
sry im kinda random Arny 16:56, 18 May 2010 (UTC)

It's ok ;) --Goblin lair 18:58, 18 May 2010

While welcoming is very nice and all... Could I ask you to slow down a little? 80% of the people you are welcoming either haven't made any contributions or haven't edited in a while. There's no need to mass welcome all these users: I can't see how you'd enjoy it and it's a pain to patrol (actually everything is a pain to patrol) :P --SerCenKing Talk 17:05, 18 May 2010 (UTC)
Ok... Well actually I think more than 80% haven't contributed xD but yeah... I get your point. There is no need to welcome users that haven't been "used". And yes, there were a lot of such users that I welcomed... so... I keep that in mind, thanks for telling! ;) --Goblin lair 19:16, 18 May 2010
No worries, thanks for understanding :) --SerCenKing Talk 17:20, 18 May 2010 (UTC)

in need of charicters?[edit]

hi! i was wonering if you need any charicters for your fanfic?i have a couple and only two have been used in another fanfic--GUM!!! 13:40, 19 May 2010 (UTC)

Shure! If you got a character from Anvil, Chorrol or Skingrad that is. If you do have a character that lives in Anvil, Chorrol or Skingrad, add them here. It would also be very useful if you could add information about his/her class/work, body (for example: long, fat, skinny and so on), age and favourite weapon. also a bit about the characters person, how it acts, what it likes and so on and in which city the character live. Note that I only need one character per city. Thanks! --Goblin lair 22:29, 19 May 2010
ok the two that are being used(or at least GUM) is GUM and cuchaba and more info is found here here(oh and by the way shure is spelled sure)--GUM!!! 23:53, 19 May 2010 (UTC)
ok! Sure (I have spelled that correctly before :S ) I can use GUM and/or cuchaba. But if I only use one, which one would you prefer to be in the story? --Goblin lair 09:28, 20 May 2010
hmm...well do you need a badish guy or a good guy?(my pref might be both or GUM but i really don't care)--GUM!!! 12:18, 20 May 2010 (UTC)
A good guy would be nice :P --Goblin lair 15:12, 20 May 2010
ok then GUM might be better and tell me when your fanfic will be done--GUM!!! 13:18, 20 May 2010 (UTC)
Right. Then GUM it is. :) Sure, I'll tell you when it's done. --Goblin lair 15:26, 20 May 2010
ok thanks for useing my charicter!and by the way i forgot to say that he's goodish(he's in the DB and TG)and also congageulations about getting on the top 50!--GUM!!! 20:48, 20 May 2010 (UTC)
No problems! Wow! I'm top 50!?... That's nice, thanks. And not to worry, I am working on the story and will soon get to the chapter with GUM. --Goblin lair 22:56, 20 May 2010
ok umm... i just have a question wich fanfic is he in?--MAKKA PAKKA! 14:24, 24 May 2010 (UTC)
in this one --Goblin lair 17:09, 24 May 2010
GUM, I can't read your signature again.--TheAlbinoOrc 19:56, 24 May 2010 (UTC)
i just had it like that for the day!--GUM!!! 13:49, 25 May 2010 (UTC)

question[edit]

I tried the method you gave me but it didnt work. Did I do something wrong?

Well, you did like this:

{| align="center"

|{{Userbox}} {{userbox}}

|{{Userbox}}}}

This is how you should write:

{| align="center"

|-

|{{Userbox}}{{userbox}}

|-

|{{Userbox}}

|}

Hope this helped! :) --Goblin lair 15:29, 20 May 2010

um well on my page you can put four user boxs in a |- --GUM!!! 13:38, 20 May 2010 (UTC)
Well you can do that, but then they will end up, four on the each line... like on your page. --Goblin lair 15:40, 20 May 2010
oh...sorry i didn't get that--GUM!!! 13:41, 20 May 2010 (UTC)
Thanks Arny 20:31, 20 May 2010 (UTC)

Not a Forum[edit]

I need to remind you that the UESP wiki is not a forum. There is a separate forum if you want to chat with other people about fanfics, characters and other things not related to the wiki. I know you are helping the wiki in other ways, and that is very much appreciated, but there's a place for non-wiki chat and this isn't it.

At the moment, you (and others) are clogging up the recent changes page with irrelevant edits that still require checking and patrolling. Please take this activity off-wiki. rpeh •TCE 22:53, 20 May 2010 (UTC)

Sorry, I'll do that. I didn't intend to fill the recent changes with non-related edits. Sorry about that. I'll take a look at the task list and get a more related project going. :) --Goblin lair 08:41, 21 May 2010
hey goblin i was just wondering whats your forum name?--GUM!!! 20:19, 28 May 2010 (UTC)
Well, actually I don't have a forum account. :S --Goblin lair 18:19, 29 May 2010
oh well if you ever make one tell me and by the way are you almost done the skingrad chapter of your fanfic;)?--GUM!!! 16:30, 29 May 2010 (UTC)
Allright I'll tell you if I do, since (as rpeh wrote above) this is not a forum. I'm working with the Bravil chapter at the moment so next chapter will be the one in Skingrad. So it's on the way ;) -Goblin lair 18:36, 29 May 2010

Goblin liar?[edit]

One of your entries on the Fanfiction page, A tale of Umaril, has you down as "Goblin liar" instead of "Goblin lair". Was that intentional? For now I'm going to correct it on the assumption it was a typo, but feel free to correct it after I update the page in a few minutes. If you do, you'll need to re-insert the full link format...see rpeh's entry a couple of lines above it. Robin HoodTalk 22:48, 31 May 2010 (UTC)

Oh, yes that's right, it was a typo. Thanks! --Goblin lair 16:26, 1 June 2010
Don't listen to him, he's a Goblin liar! ~ Dwarfmp 01:30, 3 November 2010 (UTC)

Test[edit]

I noticed you took my test. I have three questions; First, what do you think of it? Second, did you had fun? And third, how did you find out about it? --Rigas Papadopoulos • TalkDeeds 13:32, 25 October 2010 (UTC)

First: The Test was really great! It took really long time to complete... but it was worth it :D
Second: It was really fun (those notes on the side made me laugh... more than once xD)
Third: I was roaming the Wiki and stoped to check my activity rank, and I saw that I had fallen down a bit... so I checked out who had passed me and one of them were you... and you have a link to the test on your page so... yeah :P
-Goblin lair 17:12, 25 October 2010
Thank you! You're welcome to add new questions and sidenotes if you want. I'll check them afterwards so don't worry about making anything wrong. Big part of the test was taken from Wikipedia but I changed it, removed questions I deemed unworthy and changed almost all the points. --Rigas Papadopoulos • TalkDeeds 15:22, 25 October 2010 (UTC)

fanfic[edit]

hey ive been checking recently and ive been noticing that you never really added on on to your fanfic are you busier ???-Thedrunknord 01:43, 3 November 2010 (UTC)

yes... sadly I am quite busy... but as soon as I get the time I will return to my work! :P --Goblin lair 16:58, 3 November 2010
