Deletion: Quest Location[edit]

The only thing I know about this quest is that it's supposed to be somewhere near Shada's Tear, and given by an NPC (or object) called Orrery. Per the deletion notice however, I've never seen it, and I think it's quite likely this quest never made it into the final release of Craglorn, like Message Unknown. --Enodoc (talk) 10:06, 13 January 2016 (UTC)

If I remember correctly, this quest definitely used to exist when Craglorn was released (similar to the Strange Lexicon and the Message Unknown quest) and the object is still there. Proof: File:User-contraptions-Orrery.jpg. However, I cannot confirm if the quest still exists now, since I've already done it. Perhaps a way to test it would be, using a fresh character, complete the Seeker's Archive quest, then go to Mtharnaz. If the Orrery still offers the quest, then it exists. If not, it could be marked as deprecated instead.— Unsigned comment by Contraptions (talkcontribs) at 11:54 on 13 January 2016‎
Ah OK, I had assumed maybe it existed on PTS but never made it to release, as Message Unknown is the only one of the three that has any journal text available. Do you remember anything about these three quests? Objectives, and the like? --Enodoc (talk) 12:18, 13 January 2016 (UTC)
Thank you Enodoc and Contraptions for the info! Yes, the Gem of the Stars is definitely in-game although provided the wrong location marker by addon. I've completed Seeker once and it has enabled the Orrery for me, thus we can remove the delete nomination. I thought at first that the talk about gathering additional knowledge for Mora was just something unfinished, but it seems not, which is of course great. Do you have possibly any information or remember something from the Unknown Lexikon and Message Unknown...? Tib (talk) 13:00, 13 January 2016 (UTC)

Gah, edit conflict. Unknown Message was given by a tablet in Zalgaz's Den, I can't remember anything about Unknown Lexicon. You could try searching various delves though. Happy hunting. Contraptions (talk) 13:05, 13 January 2016 (UTC)

If this was the ESO forums, you guys would both get an Awesome for that info    ;)
Both Zalgaz's Den and Mtharnaz are in pretty close proximity to Seeker's Archive, so I would propose Rkhardahrk, Tombs of the Na-Totambu, Kardala, or Buried Sands (prioritised in that order) as potential locations for Strange Lexicon. --Enodoc (talk) 13:46, 13 January 2016 (UTC)
Yeah, thank you Enodoc :) I had another "filter" for finding the location, namely caves that are not involved in other quests, and I emerged victorious with another quest in hand! Tib (talk) 14:21, 13 January 2016 (UTC)
Whoops, been meaning to add this info to the wiki for months. The quests have been available since release (or at least pre-Upper Craglorn). Good job locating the lexicon though! —Legoless (talk) 20:53, 13 January 2016 (UTC)

() QUEST IS AVAILABLE, LIVE IN GAME: You will only see the quest marker in Mtharnaz indicating the Orrery if you have: 1) Completed the Seeker's Archive Quest, and 2) Are not actively involved in the Strange Lexicon or Unknown Message quests. You will find the Orrery in the northeast corner of the northern most room of Mtharnaz. Dreddnawt (talk) 14:26, 30 April 2016 (UTC)

Added that second condition to the page. —Legoless (talk) 14:33, 30 April 2016 (UTC)
