Probably. The image on the right is displaying a bat and the colouring would probably be to show its thirst for blood. --Matthewest TCE 20:16, 16 April 2009 (EDT)

Quicker way to close the gate[edit]

Once you grab the sigil stone, it takes a few seconds for the gate to close and transport you outside. I've noticed that if I grab the sigil stone and immediately jump off the platform to the "ground" of the sigillum sanguis, I get immediately transported outside the gate. I'd have to test some more, but it seems like it happens before I take any damage from the fall most of the time. Has anyone else noticed this? Could this be a good hint for players about to be killed by daedra and can't reload an earlier save? Vontos 21:27, 9 May 2008 (EDT)

I believe this has been documented somewhere already, but I can't recall where so I'll restate it. Yes. Jumping off the platform after you grab the stone will force the game to teleport you automatically. --Darth NANAME 21:37, 9 May 2008 (EDT)

Can't grab the Sigil Stone[edit]

It won't let me and my friend grab the sigil stone....we have tried everything...does anyone know what to do??? — Unsigned comment by 68.179.129.230 (talk) on 17 January 2009

Latin[edit]

I know this is hair-splitting, but the correct latin form is Sigillum Sanguinis (sanguinis is genitive case; sanguis is nominative). — Unsigned comment by Troybayliss (talkcontribs) on 30 March 2009

Unfortunately, we use the in-game names here on the wiki. So even though Sanguinis is correct we still use Sanguis. --SerCenKing 14:09, 30 March 2009 (EDT)
I agree with that and i didn't want the name changed. I was only saying that Blood Seal is translated Sigillum Sanguinis. Maybe Bethesda people messed up their latin? Just a curiosity. — Unsigned comment by Troybayliss (talkcontribs) on 30 March 2009
Probable, considering the amount of other stuff they've messed up... XD --SerCenKing 15:13, 30 March 2009 (EDT)
