Recurring Breton affixes and suffixes

Going through some of the settlement names in Daggerfall and compared to some places in ESO, there are recurring words/affixes/suffixes that I think are worth noting. I know that these are from IRL words but considering that they are only relegated to Breton places and we have words like Skald and Shillelagh documented on their respective languages, I think we should add it. • Ald: From Aldcroft in ESO, Aldshire in Anticlere, and Aldwall Rock in Anticlere. It also a word used in elvish languages and means old.
• Cath: From Cath Bedraud and Cathwych in Northmoor
• Croft: From Aldcroft and Gothcroft in Northmoor
• Tam: From Tamham in Anticlere. "Tam" itself means Dawn in Elvish.
• Wych: From Crosswych in ESO and Cathwych in Northmoor

My only problem with adding these in some form is that High Rock had a significant Elvish population for a while. How can we be sure these aren't just Elvish names that were never changed? Mindtrait0r (talk) 14:02, 14 November 2023 (UTC)

True, but these are names still used by the late Third Era. I think you can make the case that they're adopted by modern Bretons. At the very least we could just say they are recurring words in High Rock then straight up Bretic. --Vincentius1 (talk) 14:19, 14 November 2023 (UTC)
