Serpentstone Isle circa 4E 201
Serpentstone Isle is a small icy island located in the Sea of Ghosts, northeast of Winterhold.[1]
An ancient Standing Stone dedicated to the Serpent can be found atop the island.[1] According to legend, heroes can use this stone to rewrite their fate.[2] These ancient ruins attract Ice Wraiths to the island, and as a result the place has traditionally been used by the Nords to test a man's mettle.[3]
During the Stormcloak Rebellion circa 4E 201, the Stormcloaks used the island as a proving ground for potential recruits, sending them there to fight an Ice Wraith and prove their devotion to the cause.[4]
