Sir Roderic of Wayrest was an Imperial knight from Wayrest who was a veteran of the War of the Bend'r-mahk, where he fought for High Rock alongside Hammerfell against invading Skyrim. He was said to have won many battles, and was allegedly famous in High Rock.[1] In 3E 433 he had made his way to Cyrodiil, where he and his squire Lathon were performing a pilgrimage to the Wayshrines of the Nine. He ultimately met his end in Underpall Cave trying to recover the Greaves and Sword of the Crusader from the the wraith of Lord Berich Vlindrel. His squire Lathon managed to escape with the greaves and brought them to the Priory of the Nine. A pilgrim searching for the artifacts accepted them from him, and avenged Sir Roderic's death by freeing Lord Vlindrel of the evil which had ensnared his soul.[2]
