Caelus in his store

Caelus is an Imperial merchant who runs The Bit and Bridle, a shop in the Market District that sells all manner of clothing and gear for horse riders.

Caelus is dedicated to his job and doesn't get out much. He rises at 7am every morning and spends an hour getting dressed before he goes down to open the shop. He remains behind the counter all day until 7pm, when he closes and goes back upstairs. He spends an hour telling his wife about his day, then they sit down to dinner at 8pm for two hours. After an hour of relaxing, he goes to bed at 11pm.

Caelus wears a rose silk jacket, dark blue britches, and kidskin boots; he carries a wheel of red cheese, two oranges, and a key to the shop.

He shares an apartment above the shop with his wife. It is large and well-furnished with upper-class pieces: a bed, armoire, several chests of drawers and tables, rugs, and tapestries.

Caelus is a friendly sort who is passionate about his job: "Ahh, a riding enthusiast, hmmm? Well, here at The Bit and Bridle, we cater to all of your horse riding needs! We have fresh leather saddles, bridles, riding clothes and gloves, and everything you need to keep it all in good condition!" If you ask how long he's been here, he says: "Well, we've only recently set up shop here in the Imperial City, probably two or three months ago, but our business originated from back in Hammerfell! Business was going so well, we decided to expand our little empire into Cyrodiil, and it's a move I haven't regretted once! There are plenty of horse lovers here in the city, and supply is always in demand!"
