Reasons for clean-up[edit]

Ok, I figured I'd explain exactly why I believe this image needs a new shot instead of cramping it into an edit summary. Krusty, if "embracing change" is supposed to imply I added the cleanup tag purely out of spite because Dwarfmp has changed some of my images, I can assure this is not the case. Firstly, because I hadn't uploaded one for this specific GS, secondly because I think we should keep images consistent throughout the page, even though some of the existing ones are better than the ones in Dwarfmp's sandbox. And thirdly because I have experienced how pointless petty image squabbling is.
The reason I added the cleanup tag was because I feel that the image could be improved, as the pose is very awkward to say the least. The difference with the Foroch image Krusty has linked is that it is a "natural" pose: I took an image of a Bosmer with an Altmer character, so the effect was inevitable. Here however, it is different. Firstly, GS are one of the tallest races, so having them look up is unrealistic; secondly, it is clear Dwarfmp was atop the stairs and looking down, but this gives the image, especially when displayed on the page, a very awkward and unnatural feel. I don't think I'm asking too much, just a slight pose change. --SerCenKing Talk 10:45, 13 December 2010 (UTC)

Alright, let's get this out of the way; the reason I said: "Let's embrace change" is that all the Golden Saints look alike, and I would never blame Dawrfmp for trying different poses or angles in an attempt to variate the images - furthermore, the messenger interrupts your conversation with Sheogorath, so this is most likely the way you will see her. Lastly, this is a very complicated page still under construction, and I would much rather see it finished before we start to add cleanup tags to anything. It's like when people correct my Sandbox before I am even finished; annoying like hell. That is why I removed the cleanup-tag for now and brightened the image of the patrolled guards myself - because we really have no business interfering before the page is launched for good. I know that Dwarfmp asked for input, but slapping cleanup-tags everywhere is not really motivating - and I know that I see about 20 images every day where my entire body itches to add the tag, simply because they could be so much better. I didn't mean to revert your edit out of spite and I do not really care if Dwarfmp added cleanup-tags to your images, I simply want the page to be finished and take it from there. --Krusty 11:03, 13 December 2010 (UTC)
I can appreciate the feeling, so look, if the objective is get Dwarfmp to relax, so be it. I'll remove the tag, and won't re-add it when the page is done. If Dwarfmp wants to retake it, I think it'd be better but I suppose I'll let him judge since he's the one doing the page. --SerCenKing Talk 11:31, 13 December 2010 (UTC)
I was on top of the stairs, just like Sheogorath was (in fact, she's looking at Sheogorath). I thought it'd make more sense to take an image like this, because it's completely the same in-game. It also makes her look smaller, sure, but that's also the idea behind it, small and helpless at this point. I thought it made her look a bit like a child when I uploaded it. I understand you don't like it, I could take another picture if it bothers you. And by the way, I've been replacing many images, because I feel mine are of better quality. I realized that most, if not all, were of SerCenKing. I hope this doesn't seem like a personal attack. Every time I upload a new version of a file, I almost feel inclined to add a "no offense" or something like that. I hope you understand. I know you've said I should take a few images, while I'm taking images of almost any different Golden Saint. I do that to lighten up the page a bit. And where I put one image, mostly there's too few text to cover up the gab, so it's better to have two to make a smaller gab, for instance. Anyway, it's good of you to say you don't like an image I took, because there are no images that are perfect, or perfect to everyone. ~ Dwarfmp 12:11, 13 December 2010 (UTC)
Ok, seriously. We're making a mountain out of a molehill. I have no problems with you uploading better quality images, as some are from back when I didn't have a high-end PC. As I said, I prefer the images on the page to look consistent, so I really don't mind you taking them and please don't feel like you have to say "no offense"... That would like having to say "sorry" to every contributor of every page you edit on the wiki! To me the image looks a bit weird, to you and Krusty it doesn't. Fine, it's not a big deal ;) Please understand I'm just pointing out images I feel could be better, because I'm looking at the other ones and thinking "Dwarfmp can take this kind of shot". So best of luck with the other ones. The SI namespace has a lot of images I uploaded when my monitor was 600x600 and my image skills crap so I'll just be pleased if you improve them :) Now, let's get back to serious stuff! --SerCenKing Talk 12:19, 13 December 2010 (UTC)
